Lesson Plan

Personal Target
1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal)
 Develop and use formative assessment instruments such as checklists to evaluate students’
performance in a variety of activity types

2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)
 I will observe the students through the activities to assess their knowledge and it will be a
benefit for me as an evidence because I will use two different checklists, one for me to know
what they understood and for the students to know their understanding.

3. Describe how you can tell if you’re achieving your goal (Evidence)
I will know if I achieve my goal when I will see how many of the students did know my lesson
and many of students need more learning because I will have the checklist as improvements.

Formative assessment

I will use the data show to present the empty apple tree and I will let the students close their eyes
and I will put the apple card odd and even numbers on their tables, and the student that will have
the number she must put it in the right place.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1):

Students will open their books on page 140 and they will solve some odd and even questions. For
example, they have a picture of number 9, they will count and will use cubes to help them and
they should know is it an odd number or even, and will circle the right answer.

Questions:

Is this number is Odd or Even?

Explain why?

Independent Experience (small group activity 2):

Three different activities:

1. The student will have written questions and they must think and find the answer.

2. Students will cut and paste the cards numbers and organize them in the right place.

3. Find the Odd numbers and colored them in for example blue, and the Even numbers in green.

This activity is differentiated based on student’s levels:

Mastered level: Students will discuss and think about the question together and write it.

Developing level: Students must arrange and organize the Odd and even numbers to their places.

Emerging level: They have small numbers and they have to color as what written on the question

At the end of the lesson, I will assess the students by using the large cube that has several
10 min

questions and I will choose some girls to ask them what we did in the classroom and what are the
Odd\Even numbers. And if they answered them right I will be sure that they understand well.
