Vacation sessions are periods where demand for airway transportation dramatically

increases. This increase causes the demand curve to shift to the right in the supply-demand curve.

Hence, supply and demand should reach the new equilibrium point. Therefore, the supply reacts

to this change with an increase in price. General Directorate of Civil Aviation, then, applies price

ceiling for limiting to pay more than normal. However, since the existing demand is higher than

the intersection point of the demand curve and price ceiling line, the supply can easily determine

a price which is higher than the price ceiling.
