Personal Target
1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal)
- by the end of TP I would like to manage the student’s behavior in the class during the lesson by using
different strategies such as reward chart, classroom rules and positive punishment.

2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)
- I will create a reward chart and I will put a star behind their name if they sitting quietly and
focus in the lesson also I will remember them about the classroom rules every lesson.
3. Describe how you can tell if you’re achieving your goal (Evidence)
- Using the reward chart will help me to manage the student’s behavior also that will help the
students to learn easier when they focus on the lesson rather than talking with their friends.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)

- I will introduce to the students what we are going to learn. ‘Today we are going to learn about
the connection between addition and multiplication with using arrays’.

- I will read the learning outcome loudly to let the student know what they will learn in this
lesson.

- I will show the students the new vocabulary words with using flashcard such as addition,
multiplication and arrays.
Time: 15 min

- I will present the new lesson with using power point.

- I will give the students different example about addition and multiplication problem solving.

Active Engagement (small group working with the teacher) (7 min)

 - I will choose some students to come in front of the class and make some arrays with the class. For
example, I will ask the students to make an array of 4 rows with 3 in each row after that I will
challenge them by asking them to write a multiplication and addition problem for that array on the
whiteboard. After that, Discuss the process. Great questions include: What multiplication equation
can I write for this array? How do you know? What is the product of 4 x 3? Then the teacher will
complete another example with the students.

Independent Experience (group activity 1): Activity 1 (8 min)

- In this activity, each group will have small whiteboard, small color paper and small flower,
the teacher will ask them to create different arrays as a group and write addition and

create arrays with using the small color paper or small flowers and write addition and
multiplication sentence on the small whiteboard, in that time the teacher will walk around the
groups and check if they understand how to create the arrays and write the addition and

This activity is differentiated based on student’s levels: Activity 2 (10 min)

 In this activity each group will have different worksheet according to their level.

 Mastered level (green group): They will solve 6 question in the worksheet.

 Developing level (blue groups): They will solve 5 question in the worksheet.

 Emerging level (red groups): They will solve only 3 question in the worksheet.
o During this time, any students finish the worksheet early; the teacher will give him a more
difficult question to solve it.
