PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Fosroc Polyurea WH 200 is a spray-applied, 100% solid, flexible, two-component, rapid
curing hybrid Polyurea system, designed as a waterproofing and protective coating. It
combines the advantages of seamless coating with long life cycles and high durability.

Fosroc Polyurea WH 200 combine extreme application properties such as rapid curing
and exceptional physical properties such as higher crack bridging ability, higher
elongation, flexibility, high hardness, tear strength, tensile strength, chemical and water
resistance.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
All the surfaces which are to receive POLYUREA WH 200 Sprayed applied system
must be free from oil, grease, wax, dirt or any other form of foreign matter which might
affect adhesion and dry condition. Remove all debris clean and complete.
All surface deformities, protrusions, gaps shall be filled and taken care of prior Polyurea
application.

TREATING THE CONSTRUCTION JOINTS / CRACK / HONEY COMB:

Chase opening the Construction Joints by providing “V” groove, removing the dust and
clean the designated area.
Providing chemical injection treatment in the form of pressure grouting to the cold joint
by injecting cement slurry mixed with grout admixture Cebex 100 @ 225 gms.per bag
of cement, in the required consistency through the pre fixed PVC nozzles in the 18 mm
dia holes(or as designed).
Fixing of PVC nozzles with Plugging material and final cutting the projected nozzles and
sealing off the PVC nozzles after the injection operation is over with Plugging material,
Renderoc CS / Nitomartor PE (for fast and High strength )compound, finishing, curing
etc.

COVING (Where ever necessary)

Laying at all the junction of vertical and Horizontal junctions / offsets 75mm x 75mm
with Cement Mortar 1:4 and admixed with Nitobond SBR at dosage of 3 L per bag of
Cement

BORE PACKING INLET / OUT LET PIPES (where ever required)

Preparing the inside surface of core and PVC by roughening using suitable file to get
better adhesion prior to packing works.
Cleaning the surface by wire brushing followed water jet to remove any laitance or loose
flaky particles.
Providing necessary formwork for packing the bore using suitable arrangement
(depending upon site conditions).
Applying a coat of styrene- butadiene based polymer coating using Nitobond SBR to
enhance adhesion between the packing material and other surfaces.
Packing the gap using Conbextra GP1 / GP2 non-shrink cement polymer based grout
upto the surface of the bore whilst the SBR is in tacky state.
The above analysis is based on assumption for 150mm diameter core with 110mm
diameter PVC for 5” thick slab only.
Typical Properties Compressive strength at 28day as per BS 1881 45N/mm2,
completely as per the manufacturer’s Instruction.

METHODOLOGY FOR POLYUREA COATING MATERIAL


APPLICATION OF PRIMER:

Primer to be used on sound, dry concrete or concrete surface repair and at


ambient/substrate temperature of ≥10⁰C is Fosroc Nitoprime 31. If the minimum
temperature or concrete substrate condition is not met, then Fosroc Primer 195 must be
used. For steel surfaces use Primer 195, for other surfaces consult Fosroc for advice.
Mix the entire contents of the hardener and base containers well, ensure the mixed
product is of uniform consistency. DO NOT dilute the primer under any circumstances.
Apply the mixed primer immediately at a consistent coverage rate (in the range 250-
400ml per m2 dependent on concrete porosity). Note on occasions where the substrate

is extremely porous, >400ml per m2 may be required. Recommended coverage rate of


Fosroc Primer 195 on steel is 150ml per m2.
(As an Optional )Broadcast DRY sand (fire-dried, 0.2 - 0.5mm diameter) onto the wet
primer
Allow the primer to become touch-dry (2hour@35C/ 4hrs@20C/ 6hrs@10ºC/
8hrs@5ºC) before applying the Fosroc Polyurea, otherwise pinholing may occur due to
trapped air in the substrate expanding on application of the hot-spray applied Fosroc
Polyurea WH 200.
The entire primed surface must be coated within 24 hours. If the primer has been
allowed to dry >24 hours then a fresh application of primer (100ml per m2) must be
carried out, and allowed to become touch-dry (see above) before applying the Fosroc
Polyurea.

APPLICATION OF POLYUREA WH 200 COATING SYSTEM:

Fosroc Polyurea WH 200 is a two part high pressure Polyurea formulation system
having the highest physical properties.
Fosroc Polyurea WH 200 system shall be applied using high pressure heated plural
component proportional spray unit.
The applied Polyurea WH 200 shall obtain a seam less continuous film, which not tear,
crack or puncture.
Fosroc Polyurea WH 200 shall be applied in pre – marked areas that can be coated at
one time. The dimensions of the area are a function of applicators endurance, but it is
recommended that the width shall be 2 – 3 meters. The length is not the factor as the
applicator can continue to walk backwards for the entire length of the floor.
Polyurea WH 200 allow for single monolithic applications to any desired dft. Level. The
Polyurea WH 200 shall be sprayed in unidirectional manner to achieve desired
thickness.
To achieve 1.50 mm two coat is required. Subsequent coat required to achieve the
desired thickness,

TREATMENT OF FIELD/ DAY JOINTS:


When lapping new sprayed coat of Polyurea WH 200 to existing Polyurea WH 200
surface >12 hours after the existing Polyurea WH 200 surface was applied, a Fosroc
Nitoprime 150 wipe is required, and allowed to become touch-dry prior to fresh Polyurea
WH 200 application.

SCREED TO PROTECTION:

Should be done after 24hr of the Waterproofing application.


Horizontal Area: providing and laying minimum of 50 mm thick protective screed with
M20 admixed with Conplast WL at a dosage of 125 ml /Bag of cement (integral
waterproofing compound) . The finish shall be prepared such that it is suitable to
receive tile finish, the works shall be complete as per specification and directed by the
Engineer.

Vertical Area: Nitobond SBR shall be applied over the cured Polyurea membrane and
broad cast the sand particle when still bonding agent in tacky state for a mechanical key
to receive the protection layer. Providing and applying Protective Plaster 15mm thick for
walls in CM 1:4 admixed Conplast WL integral waterproofing polymer compound
including curing as per manufacturer's specifications, complete and shall be finished to
receive tiling work.
