HUMOR APPEAL
Many marketers use emotion appeals in the belief that
emotions are arguably defined as bodily changes, together with mental change,
influencing one’s decisions, sometimes out of the normal pattern for the individual,
used particularly in reference to buying behaviour.

Why we have chosen emotion appeal because:

♣ Emotion attracts attention and enhances one’s liking of the product advertised;

♣ Emotion does not harm the comprehension of the advertisement.

♣ Emotion that is relevant to the product is more effective than emotion


unrelated to the product.

♣ Emotions helps advertiser to create brands.


ADVERTISEMENT SWOT

STRENGTH

Message is clear

The advertisement that we have made is clear about what exactly product that we
are trying to introduce to the public. We showed the product at the end of the
advertisement, even on the middle of advertisement we focused on the ice-cream but
the audience just know about the ice-cream not the specific brands.

Emotion Appeals

In this advertisement, we are using emotion appeal at the beginning of the


advertisement like sadness and it change to happy and enjoy on the end of the
advertisement. As we know, publics are more alert with emotion advertisement
compare to serious advertisement.

Music and Sound

Starting on the advertisement we use music to shows the story, we did not want to
use voice of the three models because it will spend more time on this advertisement.
The end of the advertisement we use voice to promote our product to make audience
attract to get the product.

Suitable with season in Malaysian

In Malaysia, everyone loves ice-cream. As we all know, the season at Malaysia very
suitable because they in hot environments. So, the ice-cream will reduce on their
body temperature and the chocolate also contains on the ice-cream so it will reduce
their stress. From that that they can enjoy and have fun when eat the ice-cream with
their members.

OPPORTUNITY
Many brands on product of ice-cream, this company they have selected item
that they choose to promote their brands. As we all know basic ice cream with basic
flavor most of audience well known, but the “selection” with 3 flavor “-----“, “----“ and
“------“ most of them cannot heard about it. So, they will have opportunity to inform the
public about their “selection” ice-cream.

THREAT

Nowadays, many advertisements on ice –cream products. Malaysia also do


campaign buy the Malaysia product, so, the threat on the product it’s difficult to
attract audience to persuade them buy this product because the product came from
United Kingdom.

ADVANTAGES

As we all know, many brands on ice-cream product. By doing the


advertisement, the advantages for Muslim they are very concern on HALAL product,
so, on ice-cream they have label of HALAL it’s prove from Malaysia. On our
advertisement we hire Muslim women as our model. So, from that the prospects very
trust on this brand.

Furthermore, the advantages on this product the ice-cream itself we can get
from many outlet. Its suitable when small family or group members if they have picnic
or discuss they can bring the ice-cream for have fun to share with others because the
quantity not too much to finish it. As we all know, the ice-cream content with a lot of
sugar so, more people prefer consume just a little on the ice-cream, from that Walls
company produce “Selection” ice-cream in medium size.
