Commitment to the Profession
Comments:
Salama seemed to demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality. She seemed to be well
prepared for the lesson. She was able to identify a range of activities around the classroom and
she was able to assign students to work in centers as per their needs. The centers were around
the same theme and topic you are teaching (capacity). You seemed to recognize the
responsibilities of the teachers as care givers and has started to implement these, as
appropriate
Planning for Learning
Lesson plans have to sufficient details to secure lesson delivery which is successfully. Salama
managed to remind class about the classroom rules and you seemed to be very consistent with
them.
Managing Learning
Comments
Before sending students to their centers you managed to give clear instructions of all of the
activities in the centers. Also, while you were working with one group you managed to give
clear instructions to the center you were working with, and you managed to work with the
whole class and assist them while they were working on their activities. You managed to
interact and communicate effectively with your students, both orally and through body
language. Well done Salama in this lesson you seemed to get out of your comfort zone and
you were amazing in class.
Implementing Learning
Comments:
The activities mentioned in your lesson plan were to appropriate to students’ levels, you
managed to involve all learners in the same lesson and the activities were all linked to the
topic you are teaching about capacity and you managed to get more students to work in the
centers you created. I liked the idea of having centers using the range of recourses and
interaction patterns, think of ways to scaffold learners in the same centers, for example if one
of the activities were to arrange bottles from empty to full think of another way to scaffold a
learners once he is able to do that activity. How would you make the activity a little bit
challenging? Well done on the selection of activities and the implementation of your activities.
Assessment
Comments:
Good that you gave learners feedback on their progress and they seemed to listen to you and
get excited about their accomplishments. Well done assessing learners at the end of the lesson
by asking them about what new words they learned and the game about ordering and selecting,
empty, full and half was good and interactive and students seemed to enjoy the activity as it
was interactive. Well done on this great lesson Salama.
Reflection on Practice
Comments:
You managed to reflect on pre-conceived ideas of education & identifies beliefs which should
be challenged. You managed to reflects on a range occurrences in the classroom context and
makes suggestions for why they happened. These suggestions are correct & complete.
