Task 4-A: My Effective Classroom Rules

From your teaching practice experience you will analyze, in a short report, how you
formulated appropriate classroom rules. Reflect on the effectiveness of these classroom rules.
Explain how you taught and implemented these rules in the classroom.

Paragraph 1
Give an introduction about classroom management – classroom rules
During TP I made some classroom rules for my lesson. (combined) My rules were
 Respect each other
 Raise your hand if you want to answer
 no talking during the lesson
Why did you create these rules? Manage
I chose these rules to prevent chaos in the classroom and to communicate with students in a
good way, and to deliver the information to the students well because Ithink that the
classroom cannot be regulated only by the rules that make students abide by, classroom
organisation is very important because the teacher must provide an organized and good
environment to give a lesson.

Paragraph 2
How did you teach and implemented these rules in the classroom.

I have implemented these rules in my training in organizing the class I did the traffic sign to
control the students behaviour also in organisation I was training the students very day how
yo move from the carpet to the corners. Every day I train the students to stand in the line and
let them do it by them self in the break time also in the playground i let them play one by one
the hate this rule but its safe and safety first.

Paragraph 3
How did the rules help you to be effective? Why do teachers need rules
You will need to support your essay with at least 2 academic articles.

Experienced teachers don’t deal with problems, they prevent them from occurring’ – so
begins Geoff Petty’s section on classroom organisation in his book ‘Teaching Today – A
Practical Guide” (Stanley Thornes (Publishers) Ltd, 1998). Ground rules are fundamental to
order in the classroom, and order in the classroom is essential if effective teaching and
learning are to take place. Here we will consider how to prevent problems from occurring
through the establishment of appropriate classroom rules.

You can simply tell the learners what the rules are – you have complete control in this case,
they are YOUR rules and it is your responsibility to enforce them. By letting them decide the
rules learners have a greater commitment to keeping them. This latter approach sounds good,
but it’s likely that the rules won’t meet your perceived needs: words like ‘silent’ and ‘respect’
and ‘on-time’ might be missing!

Listening to the teacher is about respect for other people – allowing classmates to hear,
developing a skill sadly lacking in much of society, listening and learning. Listening so that you
understand another’s point of view, or the content of a teaching session. It’s about
remembering that we have one mouth but two ears and using the two channels in
proportion.
