Comparing highest pay in the 8th and 7th national pay scale, the basic salary of first grade officer
increases 1.95% of the 7th Pay scales. For grade 2nd and 3rd the increase percentage is 1.93% and 2.08%.
2.10% and 2.23% amount increases for grade 4 and grade 5.Now considering relatively lower grade 18,
19 and 20 the increase in salary are- 2.48% , 2.52% and 2.58%

Now comparing between 7th and 6th pay scale we can see the increase in salary (%) was-

For grade 1 , 2 and 3 the increase (%) were- 1.73%, 1.78% and 1.71%. For lower grade like 18th, 19th and
20th it was 1.76%, 1.77% and 1.79%

So we can see the increase in the amount of salary is higher in 7th to 8th pay scale rather than 6th to 7th
pay scale both in higher and lower grade.
