the most successful female rulers of Egypt. They also provide us the look into how

following her death the details of how her image on the temples and monuments she

Thomas, Susanna. Hatshepsut: The First Woman Pharaoh. The Rosen Publishing Group, 2003.

The book provides a the reader with look into the history of Egypt, it’s government, and

culture before leading into the history of the dynasty that Hatshepsut was born into. It

continues on with her history by providing readers a look into her life as the queen

before her husband passed away and what she accomplished during her reign after

assuming the role as king. This is a good source of information but can be considered

juvenile in regards to its simplicity with the presentation of the information. The amount

of information and how it was presented didn’t make me feel that it was lacking

anything and it made me feel confident that I would be able to take the information that

was contained within and write an informative piece with it if need be.
