Overall aim and context of the lesson: implement a consistent lesson where the students build their
knowledge through guided investigation about concept

- Extend students conceptual understanding about products and how they could describe a product and using
their describe facts to reflect in a report about the product.

Select (S):
This lesson is completing to the previous products lesson through the elaboration and evaluation stages of 5E. in this
completed lesson students will work together as group to observe one kind of product, draw a diagram about it and
label. Then teacher is addressing student's ability to connect the facts on the diagram and write a report about the
item
Describe (D):
The lesson is for grade 2 students in the science class. In this I am trying to achieve the setting learning objective which
is observing student's ability to describe the product by writing facts in a label diagram, then uses these facts to write a
report about the product. as I am working to support student's literacy skills in writing. Students in first activity is
working together as group to describe the product in diagram then they individually write the report of it.
Analyze (A):
I think the students responded the way they did in the activity because they are working collaboratively together as
they share ideas and come up with many different descriptions of the products which supports their learning skill.
Collaborative work promotes critical thinking skills and helps to develop a social support system for learners. (Johnsons
&Pantiz, 2011) the activity relates to the student's prior knowledge as it support their thinking skill of the products as
they could think about real life uses of the product to describe it as they are being engaged with the group and teacher
Appraise (A):
The nature of experience from student's perspective is that it improved the students higher order thinking and it
improved the learners process skills in observing and communicating and literacy skill in writing the product report

Transform (T):
To enhance students learning of this lesson in the future I might provide a key words of the description that could help
the low level students when thinking to come up with facts about the product.
