• Developed reports using Tableau Desktop. Experience assisting customers in defining, designing,
configuring, publishing and administering the reporting solutions since Tableau.
• My communication skills were very important for a clear definition of the BI reports that customers
requested.
• Troubleshooting ongoing report issues in Tableau, is a common task under my responsibility which I manage
always to provide the solution on time and under pressure.
• Webex meetings with teammates and customers to define requirements with accuracy, where customers
require many changes in each Key Performance Indicator (KPI)
• Each customer is unique and it was my duty to research about their business responsibilities and provide
reports and online dashboards that will support their decision-making with hidden data about their business.

PROJECTS
• 1) Performance Of Education Model
o https://public.tableau.com/profile/daniel.jaso2366#!/vizhome/Taller_Estilos_Aprendizaje/Dashboard
o Description: The Ministry of Education in Mexico requested us to implement interactive dashboards as an
educational approach that aims to customize learning for each student’s strengths, needs, skills and interests. Our job
was to provide with specific data extracted from databased answers from millions of students.
▪ Extraction and cleanup of data using MySQL
▪ Interactive dashboard using Tableau in order to monitor the students and teachers’ performance.
▪ Design and development of KPI (Key Performance Indicator)

• 2) Mexico’s Sentiment Analysis on Presidential Election 2018

o https://public.tableau.com/profile/daniel.jaso2366#!/vizhome/2018Election_0/Dashboard1
o Description: Mexican Politicians prior to the 2018 Presidential Election in Mexico wanted to identify the political
perception of the Mexican Population not through traditional polls but through the use of social networks about the
Presidential Candidates. Our job was to provide the political perception (Sentiment Analysis) from the Mexican
population conversations on Twitter. This data analytics allowed the politicians to make decisions based on the
political perception to analyze and to establish a more direct and interactive communication between the candidate
and citizens
▪ Extraction and cleanup of data using R
▪ Usage of TwitteR and syuzhet library in order to extract data and perform a sentiment analysis of Tweets
prior to 2018 Mexico’s President Election
▪ Design and development of KPI in order to perform sentiment analysis by date, OS, and usage of a heat
map using Tableau
• 3) UC College Wages analysis (in collaboration with Kian Sheik and Haiyu Liu)
o https://github.com/danjaso14/UC_Wages/blob/master/UC_wagesAnalysis.pdf
o Description: This project was a school project for statistics with application course, where we collected data from
the university colleges of California where our goal was to perform inferences between each department in order to
find which departments make more money and to find the expected salary wages.
▪ Data scrapping and clean up of data using R
▪ Usage of Method of Moment (MME) and Most Likelihood Estimators (MLE) in order to identify the
distribution of the wages for each department.
▪ Hypothesis testing that help us identify if our estimators were accurate.
▪ Cross Validation in order to check if our estimators were overfitting the data.

OTHER PROJECTS
I am currently a Teacher Assistant for CS-107 Computing, Mobile Apps and the Web at USF. This course provides an exposure of
basic computer science knowledge with Thunkable, which is an open source programming language that creates mobile applications in
real time. Thunkable provides the opportunity to share your projects to anyone since it is a cross platform for both IOS and Android
devices. Here are some quick demos of the concepts taught in this class:
