The basis of the design is an optimized cylinder block with 1100
replaceable water-cooled cylinder liners. 1000

Individual cylinder heads with four valves per cylinder offers 800
easier service and access for repairs. The motors are controlled 700
by Scania EMS control system that monitors the engine's 600
systems and to ensure the control of all aspects related to 500
engine performance. The injection system is Scania’s XPI (Extra 400
High Pressure Injection), a common rail system that gives low 300
