Abstrak

Stem cell saat ini menjadi trend terbaru dalam pengobatan penyakit degeneratif serta
kelainan lainnya. Stem cell adalah sel yang mempunyai kemampuan untuk memperbaharui
dirinya sendiri (regenerasi) dan berdiferensiasi menjadi sel-sel khusus dan dapat membagi diri
untuk menghasilkan sel – sel yang baru. Kemampuan tersebut, stem cell diteliti guna mencari
kesembuhan untuk mengobati penyakit serta kerusakan jaringan atau organ lainnya seperti luka
bakar.

Luka bakar adalah luka yang terjadi akibat sentuhan permukaan tubuh dengan benda-
benda yang menghasilkan panas atau zat-zat yang bersifat membakar. Luka bakar dapat
ditangani yakni dengan menggunakan teknik terapi sel yang disebut skin replacement. Skin
replacement menggunakan stem cell dari kulit(keratinocyte stem cell) yang diperoleh dari folikel
rambut berasal dari tubuh pasien sendiri, sehingga tidak mengalami penolakan.

Abstract

Stem cell is currently the latest trend in the treatment of degenerative diseases and other
disorders . Stem cells are cells that have the ability to renew themselves ( regeneration ) and
differentiate into specialized cells and can divide to produce cells - new cells . These capabilities
, stem cell research to find a cure to treat the disease as well as damage to other tissues or
organs such as combustio .

Combustio are injuries caused by touching the surface of the body with objects that
generate heat or substances that are burned . Combustion can be handled by using the cell
therapy technique called skin replacement . Skin replacement using stem cells from the skin (
keratinocyte stem cells ) derived from hair follicles originated from the patient's own body , so it
does not experience rejection .
