Create an Implementation Plan

In this part we will create an implementation plan, one which employs cultural learning

strategies to deliver the institutions instructional vision. This assignment constitutes the

implementation phase where after evaluating, deciding, visioning, planning, and securing

resources of a project, the logical conclusion can be reached. An instructional vision for summer

camp will be using collaborative learning, cultural empowerment, and distributed leadership to

ensure an effective learning environment.

Collaborative learning is utilizing the socialized aspect of a learning environment to

achieve a specific learning objective. As Moye discusses (2018), it is learning accomplished

through an interaction by two or more parties during the learning process, which may sometimes

include interpersonal interactions. “The term empowerment refers to the degree of autonomy and

self-determination in individuals who are part of a learning culture” (Moye, 2018, para. 1).

Summer Camp will empower students through our 3 core related values of autonomy, mastery

and purpose, this is what people seek at the end of the day, and at all levels whether they are

students, campers, teachers or administrators. Through these two aspects of learning

environment, distributive leadership can now have a place and be implemented. Through this

approach, recognition is met in the need to engage the intelligence of all individuals in a complex

organization. By doing so, we will be able to optimize performance and achievement and

advance engagement. As Moye notes, “Instead of focusing on the characteristics of the

individual (charismatic leadership) or the conditions of a situation (situational leadership),

distributed leaders share the leadership functions across the organization” (Moye, 2018, para. 2).

We believe by setting these standards and direction and design responsive strategies

around autonomy, mastery and purpose, we can promote student engagement and key

educational policies to ensure a constructive learning environment. We will also consider other

methods to empower student outcomes and generate a culture of achievement.
