Criterion B Task:

You are required to prepare a prepare a group performance that:

● highlights each group member’s musical ability. This would appear as a song that includes
ensemble and solo sections. Students can complete the task through a vocal/instrumental
performance.
● demonstrates the group’s ability to communicate with the audience. A successful performance
includes expressions such as eye contact with audience, facial expressions that reflect the
mood/intention of the song, and musical expression through elements such as dynamics.

Performance Reflection:

My Group 

How did your performance go today?   I think it goes ok because I mess up a little bit and my
beats was to fast. Also antony should sing more louder.

What are you proud of from today?  I am proud that I kinda did pretty well and my group could
at least sing and the word make sense.

What could you have done to  I think that if Antony sing more louder it would be better
improve your performance today?   because Antony didn’t sing a lot and if I was more
concentrate on the note I wouldn’t make mistake.

What was your intention?   Our intention is to make the audience feel like they are
having a good day and they are happy.
Do you think you made your  I think it’s kinda clear because our song was expressing
intention clear to your audience?  the intention but not all of it.

I think that I should get a 4 because I didn’t play
the piano very well and I didn’t do a good job on
this project.

I would practice at home more and I would help my
friend when they need help.

Kaw Oat: 4
Your tempo was nice at the beginning, but you
speed up during the instrumental parts. The
song kept getting faster as the song went on.
Overall, your pitches were accurate but you
can improve in your tempo and your personal
expression of your group’s intention. Your
group was trying to express happiness, but
most of your audience members thought you
were trying to express sadness because of
your expression. To increase your score to a 5
next time, keep working on keeping your
tempo steady time, use practice time more
wisely, and find a way to express your
intention to your audience.
Peer Feedback:

What they liked:

● I like their performance because they play
their instrument very well and sing very
well.
● When Kaw-ote playing the piano with the
guitar
● I like when kaw-oat and harry play
instrument, because the sound kind of go
well together.
● What I like about their performances is that
there are many singer and musicians. The
song choice are in English which
communicate their intention better
● I like the piano part because the songs was
very good and nice.
● The player who play piano and guitar was
good and i think they pick a great song
which is famous
● I like how Kawoat played piano, it was
pretty good
● I like about their piano, because it sounds
very clear, and very good performance.

Suggestions:
● They can improve a little bit, instrument is
fine, very good. But I think they should sing
a little bit louder, when they are singing is a
little bit hard for me to listen. They are
good, not too bad for them except that.
● The guitar that Antony sounded like it didn’t
tune.
● Harry and Anthony didn’t play the guitar at
the same time.
● They sing not that lound. So. it’s hard to
hear what they’re singing.
● They cannot remember some of lyrics.
● They should sing together at the same
time.
● Sing with microphone, because some part I
didn't here they singing.
● Antony and harry play instrument very
good, but I think if there play a the
sametime will sound more good.
● To improve their performances, they
 should use a microphone on stand when
they are singing.
● When both guitarist play, they aren’t
playing at the same beat and time. They
use practice together more to get the
timing right.
● They have to be work hard on the guitar
and sing part
● They should sing more loudly so audience
can hear the lyric
● They should work on their teamwork and
make the song in the same sound
● They need improve their singing, because
it can make more better, and guitar also
need improve.

What they thought your intention was:

● I think they want us to think about
everything is simple, don’t make it so hard.
Also don’t give up, look the future not the
past. Not everyone can be a superhero and
not everyone can live simple.
● I think they trying to express the things that
they want to become true.
● I think there try to express they song to
make other people enjoy and sing too.
● I think that this group are trying to express
sadness and love at the same time by
using the song “Something Just Like This”.
● I think they just want to song this song and
nothing

Why they thought that:

● Yes, they communicate good, I think I can
understand what are they trying to talk
about, but is not so clear to understand the
real meaning of it.
● I think it’s not that much because they
didn’t act or did something that can make
the audience know what they want us to
 know.
● Not really, because they didn't say what is
there intention , but I also think that they
work well on the perfroment, but the sound
should be more the sametime.
● To me personally I can’t hear the lyrics
because the singer are singing very quietly
and the guitarist aren’t playing at the same
time causing the music to be weird and the
intention aren’t clear.
● No, because even they have been trying
their very best I just only feeling like they
are just playing a normal song
