for educators Isaiah 55:10-11

NIV - As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without
watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and
bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me
empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

RSV - “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and return not thither but
water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the
eater, so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty,

but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

KJV - For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but
watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower,
and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not

return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the
thing whereto I sent it.

earth, and cause the grain to grow and to produce seed for the farmer and bread for the
hungry, so also is my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It shall accomplish all I
