career. Since this is an honors course, the
pace is vigorous and the content is
rigorous. 

CLASS EXPECTATIONS
Be prepared. Bring all needed materials to class EVERYDAY. 
Use time wisely. Ask questions. Be ready to read, write, think, and talk. 
Cell phones need to be on silent and out of sight during class time. 
Assignments are due on the DUE DATE. If you do not turn an assignment on time it is 15 points
off for every day late. If the assignment is 3 days late, you will receive a zero for the assignment.
If you are absent, YOU are responsible for getting your assignments and completing them. 
Tutoring is available upon request before school and/or after school. 

COURSE TOPICS GRADING PERCENTAGES

PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO MONITOR STUDENT'S GRADES AND
UNIT 1 EXPRESSIONS, EQUATIONS, &
PROGRESS THROUGH POWERSCHOOL. STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO
INEQUALITIES MONITOR THEIR GRADES.
80% OF THE FINAL GRADE WILL BE BASED ON PERFORMANCE ON
UNIT 2 LINEAR FUNCTIONS CLASSROOM TESTS, QUIZZES, PROJECTS/HOMEWORK, AND INTERACTIVE
NOTEBOOKS. 20% OF THE FINAL GRADE WILL BE BASED ON

UNIT 3 LINEAR MODELING PERFORMANCE ON THE REQUIRED NORTH CAROLINA MATH 1 EOC.
