Fa-la-la-la-la Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for me and grandpa we believe
She'd been drinking too much eggnog
And we begged her not to go
Baby It’s Cold Outside But she forgot her medication Dominick the Donkey
(I really can't stay) But baby it's cold outside And she staggered out the door into the snow Lou Monte
(I've got to to go away) But baby it's cold outside When we found her Christmas morning Hey, chingedy ching, hee haw, hee haw
(This evening has been) Been hoping you'd drop in At the scene of the attack It's Dominick, the donkey
(So very nice) I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice She had hoof-prints on her forehead Chingedy ching, hee haw, hee haw
(My mother will start to worry) Beautiful what's your hurry? And incriminating Claus marks on her back The Italian Christmas donkey
(My father will be pacing the floor) Listen to the fireplace roar Grandma got run over by a reindeer La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
(So really I'd better scurry) Beautiful please don't hurry Walking home from our house Christmas eve La, la, la, la, la, la, laeohda
(Well maybe just half a drink) Put some records on while I pour You can say there's no such thing as Santa Santa's got a little friend, his name is Dominick
(The neighbors might think) Baby it's bad out there But as for me and grandpa we believe The cutest little donkey, you never see him kick
(Say what's in this drink) No cabs to be had out there Now we're all so proud of grandpa When Santa visits his Paesans with Dominick he'll be
(I wish I knew how) Your eyes are like starlight now He's been taking this so well Because the reindeer cannot climb the hills of Italy
(To break this spell) I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell See him in there watching football Hey, chingedy ching, hee haw, hee haw
(I ought to say no no) Mind if I move in closer Drinking beer and playing cards with cousin Mel It's Dominick, the donkey
(At least I'm gonna to say I tried) It's not Christmas without Grandma Chingedy ching, hee haw, hee haw
What's the sense of hurting my pride All the family's dressed in black The Italian Christmas donkey
(I really can't stay) Baby don't hold out And we just can't help but wonder La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Baby it's cold outside Should we open up her gifts La, la, la, la, la, la, laeohda
(I simply must go) Baby it's cold outside Or send them back (send them back) Jingle bells around his feet and presents on the sled
(The answer is no) But baby it's cold outside Grandma got run over by a reindeer Hey, look at the mayor's derby on top of Dominick's head
(This welcome has been) How lucky that you dropped in Walking home from our house Christmas eve A pair of shoes for Louie and a dress for Josephine
(So nice and warm) Look out the window at that storm You can say there's no such thing as Santa The label on the inside says they're made in Brooklyn
(My sister will be suspicious) Gosh your lips look delicious But as for me and grandpa we believe Hey, Chingedy ching, hee haw, hee haw
(My brother will be there at the door) Waves upon a tropical shore Now the goose is on the table It's Dominick, the donkey
(My maiden aunt's mind is vicious) Oh, your lips are delicious And the pudding made of fig Chingedy ching, hee haw, hee haw
(But maybe just a cigarette) Never such a blizzard before And the blue and silver candles The Italian Christmas donkey
(I got to get home) But baby you'd freeze out there That would just have matched the hair on grandma's wig La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
(Say lend me a coat) It's up to your knees out there I've warned all my friends and neighbors La, la, la, la, la, la, laeohda
(You've really been grand) I thrill when you touch my hand Better watch out for yourselves Children sing and clap their hands and Dominick starts ta dance
(But don't you see) How can you do this to me They should never give a license Dey talk Italian to him and he even understands
(There's bound to be talk tomorrow) Think of my life long sorrow To a man who drives a sleigh Gumbaros and gumbaras, da de dance a dallodale
(At least they'll be plenty implied) And plays with elves When Zepilagola comes to town and brings oh chu-cha-lil
If you caught pneumonia and died Grandma got run over by a reindeer Hey, chingedy ching, hee haw, hee haw
(I really can't stay) Get over that old doubt Walking home from our house Christmas eve It's Dominick, the donkey
Oh baby it's cold You can say there's no such thing as Santa Chingedy ching, hee haw, hee haw
But as for me and grandpa we believe The Italian Christmas donkey
Singin' grandpa La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Grandma got run over by a reindeer La, la, la, la, la, la, laeohda
I Farted On Santa's Lap Walking home from our house Christmas eve Hey Dominick Bouna Natale
Mom made beans for dinner You can say there's no such thing as Santa Hee haw, hee haw, hee haw, hee haw, hee haw
You know I ate 'em all But as for me and grandpa we believe
She said come get your coat on, we're goin' to the mall Merry Christmas
Gonna visit Santa and sit upon his knee
But all that I could think about was I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
how not to cut the cheese I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus
I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas Underneath the mistletoe last night
I want a hippopotamus for christmas
While waiting there for Santa, I thought that I'd explode She didn't see me creep down the stairs to have a peek
Only a hippopotamus will do
The gas bubble grew bigger with every "Ho, Ho, Ho" She thought that I was tucked up in my Bedroom fast asleep
Don't want a doll, no dinky tinkertoy
Tried my best to hide it, thought I was doing swell I want a hippopotamus to play with and enjoy
But when I sat down on Santa's lap, he hollered Then I saw mommy tickle Santa Claus
I want a hippopotamus for Christmas
"What's that smell!" Underneath his beard so snowy white
I don't think santa claus will mind, do you?
What a laugh it would have been
He won't have to use our dirty chimney flue
I farted on Santa's lap, now christmas is gonna stink for me If daddy had only seen
Just bring him through the front door
I farted on Santa's lap, now I'll get nothin' under Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night?
That's the easy thing to do
my Christmas tree I can see me now on Christmas morning
I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus
Creeping down the stairs
I asked him for a baseball Underneath the mistletoe last night
Oh what joy and what surprise
I asked him for a bat She didn't see me creep down stairs to have a peek
When I open up my eyes
I asked him for some ice skates but I'll get none of that She thought that I was tucked up in my Bedroom fast asleep
To see a hippo hero standing there
I asked him for a lot of things I'll have to do without I want a hippopotamus for christmas
'Cause when I sat on Santa's lap, I let one slip out Then I saw mommy tickle Santa Claus
Only a hippopotamus will do
Underneath his beard so snowy white
No crocodiles, no rhinoceroses
On Christmas Eve I snuck out of my bed without a sound What a laugh it would have been
I only like hippopotamuses
Went down to the living room just to take a look around If daddy had only seen
And hippopotamuses like me too
It was then that I saw Santa next to the Christmas tree Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night?
Mom says the hippo would eat me up, but then
His arms were full of presents and they were all for me Oh what a laugh it would have been
Teacher says a hippo is a vegetarian
He put them on a pile and got up to turn around If daddy had only seen
There's lots of room for him in our two-car garage
And blew a fart with such great Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night?
I'd feed him there and wash him there and give him his massage
force our tree almost came down I can see me now on Christmas morning
And so I'll always cherish that special moment when Creeping down the stairs
I realized even old Saint Nick rips one now and then Oh what joy and what surprise
When I open up my eyes
I farted on Santa's lap and Christmas didn't stink for me To see a hippo hero standing there
I farted on Santa's lap and Santa left I want a hippopotamus for Christmas
one on my Christmas tree Only a hippopotamus will do
No crocodiles or rhinoceroses
I only like hippopotamuses
And hippopotamuses like me too
