Project UPGRADATION DATE : 10-Dec-13
Proj No PD1092 BY : NS
Calc no. #REF! CHK / APPD : BA
Calculation summary Page 1 of 4

Objective :
1.) To confirm the head and shutoff pressure of Waste Water Ciculation Pump
2.) To calculate the pressure at CDSP and BOP interface point.

Basis/Assumtions:
1.) Flowrate and transport properties as per Licensor PDS - Coke Condensate Pump.
2.) Liquid being pumped is at boiling condition. Hence, normal vessel pressure is taken to be the vapor pressure of fluid.
3.) Destination pressure is the pressure at CDSP and BOP interface point, considered at an elevation of 6.25 m from grade.
4.) Pressure drop for Orifice (FE-400) is 0.2 Kg/cm2 as per Reference (1)
5.) Maximum allowable pressure drop (clogged) for Coke drum liquid strainer is 0.2 Kg/cm 2 as per Reference (4)
6.) Pipe ID as per PMS.
7.) Pipe and fitting as per Reference (3)
8.) Maximum suction pressure is 5.1 Kg/cm2g as indicated in Licensor PDS
9.) Pump base plate is 0.3 m above grade as per Licensor PDS - Coke Condensate Pump

References:
1.) Licensor Instrument Data Summary Sheet, Flow Instruments. (Attachment I)
2.) P&IDs, 6782-PEIN10-334-14-PID-A1-045, Rev 0 (Attachment II)
3.) Piping Studies and Licensor Dwg. No. A1-20423-334-PP-0001 - 0004, Rev 0 for piping length and fittings (Attachment III)
4.) Licensor datasheet - Coke Drum Liquid Strainer.

Results:
1.) Head and shutoff pressure for coke condensate pump = 41.8 m and 9.8 Kg/cm2g respectively,as in licensor PDS.
2.) Pressure at CDSP and BOP interface point = 3.0 Kg/cm2g.
Reference elevation is 6.25 m above grade.

Notes :
1. Physical Length of Pump suction and discharge has been considered based on tentative layout
2. Pump differential head is 4.1 m with the contingency of 0.5 kg/cm2. With no contingency estimated pump head is negative implying that flow is possible at the desired
rate without the pump.
