This bulletin was created to provide instructions for updating the Epson Print Server 5 C12C824341 firmware to version 01.11. This
Print Server board is one of two boards used for the Stylus Pro 4800, Stylus Pro 4800 Professional, Stylus pro 7800, Stylus Pro 7800
Professional and the Stylus Pro 9800 and Professional version Prographics printers.

C A U T IO N To confirm you have the Epson Print Server 5 C12C824341 Board you will need to remove it from the printer and
compare it to the example above. To prevent damage to the board Power Off the printer and Unplug the AC power
cord before removing the board or reinstalling the board.
Specification Change
- The correct Rendezvous name and Rendezvous Printer Name is assigned by default.
- The Rendezvous name and Rendezvous Printer changes when a different printer is connected to the print server.
- The FTP connection time out setting is not displayed in the Network Status Sheet.
- The number of FQDN character string was wrong in EpsonNet Config Web. (Correct:252 characters, incorrect: 255 characters)
- The description “Unknown” is assigned in the JobOwner field in the Job Monitoring MIB when using IPP printing.

4. The IP address of your card is listed in the TCP/IP section of the status sheet:
or if not available, the EpsonNet Config utility can be downloaded from epson.com under “Drivers & Support, under Other
Products - select Connectivity Product, then C12C824341 (EpsonNet 10/100Base TX Internal Print Server 5)
Windows: epson11670.exe
Macintosh OS X: epson11671.sea.hqx
TIP The printer must be powered ON and have READY displayed on the LCD display. The Orange Led on the net-
work card should also be ON solid and the ethernet cable connected. If the Orange Led is flashing power the
printer Off then back On.
3. From the Tool menu select “Firmware Update”. (Firmware Update is now available in both Windows and Macintosh OS X)
4. Browse to the firmware file you downloaded for your operating system, then click Next to continue.
Browse Locations:
• For Windows PC’s C:\epson\epson11949_firmware_0111
• For Macintosh computers the epson11950.dmg folder will
be on your Desktop.
TIP
Double click the epson11950.dmg file to create the
epson11950_firmware_0111 folder before you Browse.

7. The Update status screen is displayed showing the Firmware Update has completed, click OK to complete the firmware update.
