IMONEX Model EM10, EM12, EM20, EM21 Coin Multiplier Board

• Installation Preparation
Option B - Positive True Connection (Sourcing, +5V pulse)
1. Turn on the machine that the acceptor is to be installed into.

2. Using a voltmeter set to DC volts, measure the voltage across the COIN COIN
coin switch terminal. Record the voltage.

4. If the meter read AC voltage greater than 2 volts, this multiplier board
is not designed for use with your machine. Contact the factory for a Brown
recommendation of a different multiplier board. Do not install the
multiplier as it may damage the unit. Option C - Negative True Connection (Sinking)
5. If the unit read between 2.5 and 30 DC volts across the coin switch COIN
terminals, use the voltmeter set to DC volts to determine which wire COIN
is positive. Blue

Using a voltmeter set to DC volts, measure the voltage across the
coin sense wires on the acceptor as a coin is dropped into the Brown
acceptor. If there is a short change in voltage as the coin is accepted
then wiring diagram Option B should be used, else you will use
wiring diagram Option C. • Multiplier Value Modification
7. The multiplier board requires power to operate. The next step is to
find a suitable source of power for the board. The board is shipped from the factory with a multiplier
8. Using a voltmeter, find a 12-24VDC, or VAC source of power, and
run wires to the acceptor as required. ! value that matches the value ratio of the two coins
that the acceptor was designed for. Do not set the
DIP Switches unless other values are required!
• Installing The New Acceptor
1. Turn off the power. Note: It is imperative that these operations be performed in the
2. Remove the old coin acceptor and replace with the IMONEX following order. If unit is inadvertently powered down and back

3. Wire the power found in step 8 above to the multiplier board as must be restarted at Step 1.

4. There are three ways to wire the coin switch pulse. If there was switches would be set at 1 pulse for the smaller currency coin (Quarter),
