2. Deployment
The plan is uplifted Infraseek application is to migrate to the new azure cloud platform so
that the maintaining and adding the new tenants is easier. While migrating to the new
platform Jenesys will make sure that there is no data lose or seamless experience to the
current Infraseek customers.
Current Infraseek application is hosted on a Stantec managed virtual machine where all the
Infraseek entities such as MapGuide server, database and the Infraseek application are
deployed on the single machine.
On the uplifted Infraseek application deployment architecture, MapGuide server and
Infraseek applications are hosted on azure virtual machine and database(s) are hosted on
the Platform as Service (PaaS). PaaS based storage drive can be used to store the map GIS
data so that archive and backup the data is easier.
For each of the map, a database instance is created on the PaaS platform and connected
from the MapGuide server. A separate database instance is created for the Infraseek
application activities such as user management, authentication, role, site mapping etc.

2.1 System requirements

Bellow is the suggested environment for the uplifted Infraseek application. The deployment
environment can be upgraded based on the request traffic with the Stantec approval.

2.2 Migration of the existing application

The uplifted Infraseek application is deployed on the cloud environment. The Infraseek
application will work as it is and slowly application can be phased out.
The map and related GIS data is migrated to the new cloud environment and current users
are also migrated to the new environment so that the customer should have a seamless
experience on the migration.
Each of the migrated GIS map is tested by Jenesys quality team and once approved by
