The CELTA (Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to
Speakers of Other Languages) is awarded by Cambridge

COURSE CONTENT
The UQ-ICTE CELTA is a highly practical, hands-on training
course designed to give you skills to:

 After many years in the legal profession,
I undertook a TESOL course at a well known
college in Brisbane and took off to China.

However, when I started looking at job ads, nearly

every reputable position required a CELTA.

In January 2010, I enrolled in the

CELTA at UQ-ICTE.

I learned so much more about teaching

ESL and, on returning to China, my newly
acquired CELTA skills not only helped
my students with their second language
