MATERIALS: Stork
ONE SIZE: 100 gr bark 30
SUGGESTED NEEDLE SIZES: Cir or straight needles in size 3.5mm and
crochet hook in size 3mm. Note: US and metric needle sizes often do
not match exactly and size equivalencies have changed. The original
version of this pattern was written to use metric size needles; if in
doubt as to whether a given US needle size is the same as a metric size,
use the metric size needle. As always, please take the time to check
your gauge carefully and change needle sizes as needed to obtain the
correct gauge.
GAUGE: 34 sts over Drop St pattern = 4"(10cm).
ACCESSORIES: Approx 438yds(400m) gold metallic thread and pin
back or large safety pin.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, work in rnd 1 behind previous rnd, * 1 sc between second
and third dc, ch 4, 1 sc in sc between ch loops, ch 1; rep from * to end
of rnd, then join with a slip st in top of ch at beg of rnd.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, * work 6 dc in ch-4 loop, 1 sc in ch-1 space; rep from * to
end of rnd, then join with a slip st in ch at beg of rnd.
Rnd 5: Ch 4, work in rnd 3 behind previous rnd, 1 sc between third and
fourth dc, ch 4, 1 sc in sc between ch loops, ch 4; rep from * to end of
rnd, then join with a slip st in top of ch at beg of rnd.
Rnd 6: Ch 1, work (1 sc, 4 dc, 1 sc) in each ch-4 loop across rnd, then join
with a slip st in ch at beg of rnd. Fasten off.
MEDIUM FLOWER: Work rnds 1 - 4 of Large Flower, working 5 dc in
each ch-4 loop on rnd 4. Fasten off.
SMALL FLOWER: With crochet hook and 1 strand each of Stork and
metallic thread held tog, ch 7, then join with a slip st in first ch to form
ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, * ch 3, work 1 sc in ring; rep from * 5 times more, then join
with a slip st in ch at beg of rnd.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, work (1 sc, 3 dc, 1 sc) in each ch-3 loop across rnd, then join
with a slip st in ch at beg of rnd. Fasten off.

FINISHING: Arrange flowers as shown in photo and tack tog. Securely

A
sew pin back or safety pin to back of flowers. With crochet hook and
1 strand each of Stork and metallic thread held tog, make 2 chain
cords, each approx 23 5/8"(60cm) long. Thread each cord through a
B short edge of wrap using space left by dropped sts. Gather each end
of wrap along cords, and securely knot ends, leaving ends of cords
uneven. Overlap ends of wrap slightly and tie ends of cords. Pin
flowers over top of overlap.
A = Width: 8 1/4"(21cm)
B = Length: 35 3/8"(90cm)

Watch gauge carefully to obtain the correct finished measurements!

Holding 1 strand each of Stork and metallic thread tog, C O 65 sts.

Working back and forth, beg with a WS row and set pattern in this
manner: K 1 st, * p 3 sts, k 3 sts; rep from * to last 4 sts, p 3 sts, then k
last st. Row 2: K 1 st, * k 3 sts, p 3 sts; rep from * to last 4 sts, then k rem
sts. Rep these 2 rows until wrap measures 35 3/8"(90cm) from bottom
edge, ending with a WS row. Next row, k 1 st, * k 1 st, drop next st from
needle and allow to ravel, k 1 st, p 3 sts; rep from * to last 4 sts, k 1 st,
drop next st, then k rem 2 sts. C OFF rem 54 sts loosely. Unravel
dropped sts to C O edge.

LARGE FLOWER: With crochet hook and 1 strand each of Stork and
metallic thread held tog, ch 7, then join with a slip st in first ch to form
ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, * ch 3, work 1 sc in ring; rep from * 5 times more, then
join with a slip st in ch at beg of rnd.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, work (1 sc, 4 dc, 1 sc) in each ch-3 loop across rnd, then
join with a slip st in ch at beg of rnd.
