Remote Terminal Unit ER1000

Digital Output Module:


The design incorporates dedicated processors to manage the
time critical intensive Real-Time process involved in computer
control and monitoring environment. (Cold Fire core Processor
delivering 76 MIPS at 80 MHz running from internal flash
memory with Enhanced Multiply Accumulate (MAC) Unit and
hardware divider). The dedicated communication processor
provides Real-Time exchange between IEDs of multiple
protocols to SCADA systems. The CPU has on board Ethernet
port and multiple serial ports and Memory Module. CPU
healthiness, Communication Indications etc are provided for
easy diagnosis. CPU card supports 6 Serial (2 X RS232, 1 X
RS485, 2 X RS232/RS485, 1No. of X RS232 debug port),
1No. of 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet and high precision IRIG-B
interface for Time Synchronization. On board GPS receiver is
supported as an optional feature.

The software used for parameter setting / configuration of the


ER1000 is based on easy to understand menus and features
extensive help manual. Protocol permitting, parameterization

(LAN / WAN). The tools make it possible to test the RTU locally /
remotely (Ethernet based Config Tool) to diagnose
malfunctions, confirm the configuration or check process
connections.
Maintenance
The ruggedness and reliability of the ER1000 make it maintenance free and requires no further attention once installed.
