ABSTRACT

“Web-Based Event Booking and Scheduling System in

Cotabato City State Polytechnic College (CCSPC) Sinsuat

Ave. Cotabato City.

This system customer can book online and pay with Palawan card

and the system must send booking confirmation email after successful

payment Customers can write reviews about hotels and apartment and

also rate them. Customers able to check their booking status from their

individual account. and if the costumer will search its availability for

check in for room or venue, apartment in Midsayap North Cotabato of

White hut, Anatolia, and paradise Resort and this system directly view

their apartment rooms or hotels rooms before they make book, when if

Customers able to cancel their booking then Staff is able to edit

customers booking information.

 CHAPTER 1

1.1 INTRODUCTION

In this chapter the following proposed system aims to developed web

based event booking and scheduling system for facilitating reservation

process at resort and hotel. The system provides the reception an easy way

for searching on rooms, listing off rooms, inserting the client information,

getting details about specific client, making a reservation for rooms and doing

payment process.

This system is supporting of customers for booking and

able to modify them, and the Customers can search based on

hotel, apartment, in Midsayap North Cotabato When a customer

search for hotels, apartment, and the search result must

contain hotel or apartment information (Address, Ratings, and

Price) and also its availability within choosing check in and

checkout date. Customers able to cancel their booking from

their account. Staffs able to edit customers booking

information (updating check in, check out, room preferences,

bed preferences and also cancelling booking). Customers can

book online and payment thru remittance but we will upgrade if

necessary on PayPal this system must send booking

confirmation email after successful payment.

1.2 Background of the Study

The White Hut Resort is located at National Highway Poblacion 08 BPH

Midsayap North Cotabato; it is a small resort opens around 8am to 5pm. The current

head of the resort is Christine A. Della Cruz.

Every people are able to reserve this resort. The resort is accepted booking for

Birthday, Debut, Kiddies party Wedding, Baptism, Thanksgiving and Seminars.

.Entrances for all children less than 12 years is charged in 50 pesos per head and for

adults is charged in 80 per heed.

Types of room prices;

 Stand single room 5,000

 Stand double room 10,000

 Stand super double room 15,000

 Stand family room 20,000

Pets are not allowed.

The Camp Anatolia Resort opened on January 12, 2012. Located at

Brgy.Kimagango, Midsayap Cotabato, Dualing New Panay-Midsayap Road. The

resort is accepting booking for Birthday, Debut, Wedding, Baptism, Thanksgiving and

Seminars.

Entrances for all children less than 12 years is charged in 50 pesos per heed and for

The Paradise Resort opens on march 06 2015 located at Brgy timako midsayap north

cotabato this resort accepting rooms for reservation, place for occasions like Birthday,

1.3 Statement of the Problem

1.3.1 General problem

 The general problem is how to design, developed and implements Web-Based

Event Booking and Scheduling System of Midsayap North Cotabato resorts, in other

hand how to reduce the time consuming for booking rooms, venue, and room reserve.

1.3.2 Specific problem

1. How to easily communicate with the client?

2. How to have a fast and accurate processing room reservation?

3. How to advertise the facilities and services of Midsayap North Cotabato resorts?
4. How to provide a system that automatically reserve?
5. How to have working system that wills reservation easier?

1.4 Objectives of the Study

1.4.1General Objectives

The purpose of this project is to develop Web-Based Event Booking

and Scheduling System of Midsayap North Cotabato

1.4.2 Specific Objectives

1. To provide fast, easy and accurate means of processing reservations.

2. To have a working system that will make reservation easy.
3. To advertise the facilities and services of Midsayap North Cotabato resorts.
4. To have easy communication between client and Midsayap North Cotabato resorts.
5. To provide a system that automatically reserve for those register client.
1.5 Significance of the Study

The purposed of this system will provide a significant role for both clients and

the Midsayap North Cotabato resorts since we are adopting the modern technology

nowadays.

The potential beneficiaries of the propose system are the management to manage of

Midsayap North Cotabato resorts.

MANAGER

The purposed of this system will give an opportunity to the management to manage a

fast monitoring of occupied, reserve and available rooms, or venue. It also provides a

time consuming to the management to give their client better quality of services.

CLIENT

The purposed of this system is the best way to communicate with clients, using the

websites they can easily make reservations, locate and contact, especially those clients

outside Cotabato City.

RESEARCHER

The researchers proposed a system to change enhance the ability. It will give them the

knowledge and exposure for conducting the researcher study, and determine the other

possible alternative to improve the method for gathering information to further

justification search study.

1.6 SCOPE AND LIMITATION

1.6.1 System Scope

The studies entitle Web- Based Event Booking and

Scheduling System shall focus only online reservation for Midsayap

North Cotabato resorts. Register of the Client, viewing of the

resorts availability changing, adding, and cancelling

reservation to ensure integrity of the resort implemented by

using this system.

1.6.2 System Limitation

This study limits only Web- Based Event Booking and Scheduling

System for Midsayap North Cotabato resorts. This study only covers the

following.
 White hut resort
 Champ Anatolia resort
 Paradise resort
1.7 Operational Definition

Register

This system is supports to a customer for booking and able to

modify them, when a customer search for hotels, apartment,

and the search result must contain hotel or apartment

information Address, Ratings, and Price, and also its

availability within choosing check in and checkout date.

Reservation

Is the process of reserve to the establishment venue that need

to schedule in the time of weeding? In this process, it will

allow the user to confirm the date of reservation.

Scheduling

Is process of confirmation of your time, date and venue where

in you can able to take your party

Administrator

Is the one who can access all the process of the system. The

administrator can manage and control the flow of the system

because it can enter to the exclusive data or process in the

system.

Vacant date

Is the available date that the system can automatically schedule the reservation of the

another customer?
