Ref: Job Application for post SD111805

Dear Mrs. Davies,

I am writing to apply for the position of Research Analyst with languages, which I
saw on TotalJobs website. Please find attached my CV which demonstrates that I
have the necessary skills to be an asset to the company.

My name is Velizara Alinska, 25-year-old female born in Bulgaria and raised in The
Netherlands. I am currently finishing my bachelor’s degree in International
Business and Languages in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. During my degree I have
done successful projects as an individual and in a group, which demonstrates that I
am capable of working alone and be a part of a team. As part of my degree, I had
to choose two languages apart from English. The languages that I have chosen are
German and Spanish. After studying German and Spanish for 3 years, my level of
writing and speaking increased to advanced. Furthermore, I have a B1 level
certificate in German and B2 level certificate in English. As I was born in Bulgaria
and raised in the Netherlands, my mother tongue is Bulgarian, and my native
language is Dutch. Apart from those 4 languages, I have studied Russian for 2 years
during my studies as an elective class and finished at level A2.
As part of my study program, I had the opportunity to do an internship in a
different language abroad. I have chosen to do my internship at Volkswagen in
Wolfsburg, Germany. The period of the internship was six months, during which
the only spoken and written language was German. During my internship, I was
responsible for the engines of the vehicles, mainly CNG (Compressed Natural Gas),
hybrid and Diesel. I part of a big team and each of the team members had
individual deadlines and tasks. During my work at Volkswagen, I had to produce
various reports on sales figures, forecasts, CO2 emissions, etc. As main part of my
internship, I have written a sales report for CNG in Europe, which required primary
and secondary research and the use of proper methodology.

Before going on an internship in Germany, I was working as a Team Leader in a

supermarket based in Leiden, The Netherlands. Being a team leader requires clear
goals, visions and planning and knowledge of developments in retail banking.
During my work at Jumbo Supermarket, I have learned how to be patient, work in
a dynamic environment, multi-tasking and lead a team properly.

Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I truly believe that my past
experience and education would make me a valuable asset for the company. I
would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss further how my
qualifications will be beneficial to the company’s success. I am available for
interview at your convenience and can be contacted on the email address or
telephone number below.

Yours sincerely,

Velizara Alinska
