Antipolo City campus

Dr. Mylene Santos,

Greetings of Peace!

Part of the noble dictum of Our Lady of Fatima University is to improve man as man, in line
with this, the College of Education of the Antipolo City campus will work hand in hand to
develop the students holistically to produce not only competitive graduates but world- class
professionals.

To ensure the attainment of the goal and to nurture the students of the College of Education
of Antipolo City campus, the college will be holding its Education Week on January 19-21
2017. Below are the specific and detailed activities proposed by the FYES and GEMSC officers
of the college:

1st Day (January 19, 2017)

STORYTELLING AND CONCESSIONAIRES

Every year and section of the college is assigned to each doors of the rooms SCH 404, 406,
407 to cover it with their assigned stories for children. (Ex: Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan).
The design inside the room will be related to the story assigned to them. They will not only
conduct story telling sessions but also they will be dressing up like the characters they are
portraying. The audience of the activity are pre-school students from different cooperating
schools of the college. The pre-school students will be divided into morning and afternoon
session. They will also be the one choosing the best room and best story by putting smiley
face  on the box provided in each rooms. Souvenirs and foods will be given after finishing
all the story rooms. Winners of the best room and story will be declared on the 3 rd day of the
college week. The rest of the section who will have no part in the story telling will be assigned
to different booths and concessionaries inside the campus.

2nd Day (January 20, 2017)

FILM SHOWING AND EDUCATORS FEUD

In the morning session, there will be a film showing related to Early Childhood and Special
Education majors of the college. Everyone is invited to watch the films not only to just watch
and to entertain but to somehow relate or reflect their experiences and also themselves in
different situations given on the film especially about the life of a teacher or a student. In the
afternoon session, the college is adapting the famous TV game show which is the Family Feud.
But we changed the word “Family” to “Educators” because students from different year and
section of the college are participants of this game. In each section there will be 5
representatives and the rest of the section will be having its cheer for their chosen
representatives. The chosen representatives will be answering different questions that is
related to education. (Ex. What are the habits of students when they are bored in the class,
Reasons why student fails or what are the best motivations for children). There will be a panel
of judges to ensure that everyone is playing fair. The winner of the game is the section will
be getting the highest score and they will be given certificates and prizes.

3rd Day (January 21, 2017)

TEAM BUILDING AND SOCIALIZATION

Team building and Socialization is one of the best way in developing a good camaraderie to
each involve in the college. In the morning session, every year and section must join the team
building. In the team building we proposed, it was also an adaptation from a famous reality
competition show which is the Amazing Race. It composed of different stations with different
activities or games related to education that will test not only their physical and cognitive
skills but also their leadership and team work to each other. The participants or every year
and section of the college must first complete a station before going to another one. The first
group who will first finish the race is declared as the winner and will be given also certificates
and prizes. The college decided to put the venue of the socialization on the same venue where
the team building is conducted. For the socialization on the afternoon, it is a time where
students and professors of the college will have fun by enjoying not only the foods but also
the built friendship in different year levels in the team building conducted. Awarding of
certificates for the students for past activities where the college participated will be awarded.

In line with the aforementioned, there will be series of activities that will cater the needs of
the students. With this, we would like to request for financial support for our 3-day college
week. Below are the lists of expenses that we seek assistance with:
