Kalyana Verma in his astrological treatise Saravalipisze that, the division horoscopes called Vargas give us knowledge about

various aspects
of life, she even mentions that without division horoscopes one can not even make a step in astrology. Although such radical statements are
found in the sastras, a large part of the astrological community relies only on Rasi (D-1) and Navams (D-9), some also add Drekkana (D-3) in
their analysis. Although the topic of division horoscopes is not the subject of this article, it is worth being aware of the role played in
Paramapara-Jyotish Varga.

Although Navamsa is most often associated with the recognition of marriages and partners, I would like to present a different view on this
division horoscope.

Dignity
Parasara in the subject of Vimshopak Bala, Shastyamsie (D-60) gives the most points, which concerns the karma accumulated not only in
the previous life, but throughout our past existence. Navamsa, because it is a help in assessing the dignity (Dignity) of planets is extremely
important in assessing the effects that planets have on the nature and events of a person. The planet in the fall (Neecha) in Navash and the
Uccha in Rasi is in a worse situation than in the opposite case, so the analysis of Navums is very important.

Source
I was asked to demonstrate some techniques for interpreting Navums. Because the sastras do not give too much information on this subject,
the whole body of knowledge comes from the succession of students and teachers. Astrological knowledge, because it can be used for
impious purposes, is hidden from the general. Below are the techniques that I learned from my teacher, Visti Larsen, who belongs to the Sri
Jagannath Center, astrologers' community from the line of Sri Achutya Dasa, disciple of Sri Caityanya Mahaprabhu.

Navamsa example:
Date: October 25, 1982

Time Zone: 1:00:00 (East of GMT)

Place: 18 E 41 '00 ", 50 N 13' 00"

techniques

 Atmakaraka. Parasara, the planet that has the most degrees, is called Atmakaraka (just like Jaimini Rsi in Upadesa Sutras). Atmakarak is
the king of the horoscope and indicates the causes of birth (Navamsa) and material manifestations of desires (Rasi). The nature of the
planet, its state (Avastha) and position in the sign and home are taken into account. Example: An atmospheric in this horoscope is Jupiter,
which indicates that in that life such a person could have been Karakamse in Pisces or Sagittarius, which indicates pious and religious
descent. It is worth noting Yoga (arrangement) in which the planet participates. We see that Jupiter is together with Mars creating the so-
called Guru-Mangal Yoge, Mangal or Mars gives Agni tattve, who is responsible for logic, while Jupiter gives Akasha-Tattve or ether, in this
way Yoga gives knowledge, the possibility of analytical insight into the world and intuitions (Akasha).
 House Atmakaraki. It is important to consider the house in which Atmakaraka is located, the technique is that we count houses from
Atmakaraki to Navamsa Lagny and in this way we read the inner desire with which the soul appeared in this body. Example: Atmakaraka is
in the fifth house, which means that nine houses are from Atmakaraki to Navamsa Lagny, that means births are connected with ninth house
such as: dharma, teaching, higher knowledge and being a father or Guru.
 Mantra, Yantra, Tantra. Jaimini Upadesa Sutra, indicates that the number of malevites in Kona do Karakamsy (a sign in which Atmakaraka
is) gives us knowledge about the inner possibilities that the person develops. The more males, the greater the intuition and the psychic
abilities. Now whether it will be used for good or bad purpose is shown in aspects on Karakamse. Benefits give so-called white abilities, no
benefics black. Example: Jupiter is in a ram, Kona is a Baran, Leo and Sagittarius, In Baran is Mars, in Lion Ketu, in Sagittari Sun, three
smallfics give great abilities. Venus (benefis) portrays Karakamse through the character aspect (Rasi Dristi) which indicates that this person
will use his abilities for a good purpose.
 Navamsa-Thulya-Rasi. Because Navamsa is a division of the sign into nine parts and concerns things related to the ninth house (dharma,
godliness), there is a system called Navamsa-Thulya-Rasi where signs from Navashi are designed on Rasi, there is also a reverse system
(Rasi-Thulya) Navamsa). The first house will be the ninth house, so the second will be the tenth and will point to the karma we are dealing
with in this life. Example: Sagittarius is the first house, capricorn is the second home, in Rasi ibex is a sign besieging the eighth house, the
eighth house is about transformation, occultism, astrology, reincarnation, death. This person deals with astrology and is interested in the
occult.
 Four Ayana Techniques Ayana. The Vedic scriptures share aspects of life with kama, artha, dharma and moksa. Kama is a gratified sense in
accordance with the religious code, artha is creating a situation that enables sense gratification, dharma is a system controlling human
relationships and God, Moksa is a set of activities or attitudes that glorify liberation from the material body. This technique takes Kendra (1, 4,
7, 10) into consideration from Karakashi and draws attention to Dig-Bal (directional force). Example: In the horoscope of this Kendra are
occupied by Mars, Moon and Saturn, we see that Saturn and the moon get Dig-Ball, which means that the person is deeply immersed in
Kama (7th house), and Moksa (4th house).
 Ability. The last point worth discussing indicates the abilities the horoscope possessor has been given, although the abilities that are
available show us Prithvi-Drekkan and the abilities that flow from the material situation show us Rasi it is worth knowing what we have talent
for. Navamsa shows us this. In this matter, one should pay attention to the houses of Trikon (1,5,9) from Navamsa Lagna (the ascendant in
Navashi). The first house speaks of abilities that have a big impact on our inner character, the fifth house about the abilities we have gained
through good karma, the ninth house with abilities developed alongside the teacher. Example: First house: Sun. The sun gives music skills,
attractions to read books that give conclusions about life such as Vedanta or Gita. The horoscope holder has musical abilities, he quickly
learned to play the guitar and other instruments, although he does not develop this type of talent at the moment. He loves to read Bhagavad
Gite and gave her lectures. Fifth house: Jupiter, Mars. Jupiter gives a pious, moral nature and attractions to books that tell long stories like
Puranas, Mahabharata, Jupiter also gives abilities in astrology. The horoscope owner deals with astrology. Mars, on the other hand, gives
you the ability to cook, think logically, and martial arts. The ninth house: Ketu. Ketu is Ganita - Karaka, he is responsible for mathematical
abilities and especially for the ability to astrology. Jaimini also indicates abilities in activities requiring eye for detail such as a
watchmaker. The holder of the horoscope in elementary school took part and won mathematical competitions, as I mentioned before, he
deals with astrology. despite the fact that currently it does not develop such talents. He loves to read Bhagavad Gite and gave her
lectures. Fifth house: Jupiter, Mars. Jupiter gives a pious, moral nature and attractions to books that tell long stories like Puranas,

Summary.
There are still many techniques that I have not presented here like recognizing nature in terms of relationships, relationship with spiritual
teacher, omens sent by karma, diseases and healing them, kharesh, attitudes to work and company at work, the method of recognizing the
easiest way to learn, Navams -Parivartana, etc., I hope, however, that this article will inspire Jyotish aspirants to analyze the points
presented above and contemplate on how they relate to the personal situations in their lives.
