FORM CONCEPT
A simple design concept from the
pattern of waves from the ocean is
where the form concept was obtained. In
later forms, the waves’ peak or height
has become the apex of the roof and was
used as the design.
The ocean surface is in a continuous
motion. Waves are as a result of water
surface disturbance; waves themselves
represent a restoration force only to
calm the surface.

ARCHITECTURAL STYLE

The architectural style used was modern

architecture. It made used of the
composite construction. Simple
reinforced concrete and non-corrosive
metal alloy. There is a special
consideration for the specification of
materials to be used for the proposed
resto bar since it is located near the
shore.
-To develop an unused land on Pundaquit Beach and be used as a tourist
destination and relaxation.

-To make use of the abundant wind energy from the site.

-To be able to become conveniently accessible for the people coming from
different places.

-To maiximize the site orientation.

-To direct the average winds towards the wind mill by the using the
knowledge of streamlining. Streamlining is the design or provision of a form
that presents very little resistance to a flow of air or water, increasing speed
and ease of movement.

-Placing the La La Mei Resort on the seaside part of the Pundaquit beach area
is a strategic place since its location is overlooking the calming sunset.

-Provision of wind mill to harness and gather wind energy to be used as the
restaurant’s sustainable power source.

-Man-made paving and pathway to access the restaurant is provided.

-Incorporating solar panels and using solar roofing shingles to also harness the
energy generated by the sun by taking advantage of the site orientation.

-The effect of using saw-tooth roof is not just important in lighting but also in
ventilation and streamlining. By using this type of roofing, the upper part of
the structure (resto bar) should have a low resistance to the wind and thus
directing it towards the location of the wind mill.
The Pundaquit Beach Area Lot at San Antonio, Zambales is noted for its white sands and
irresistible Island views and scenic sunset views.
It is also a windy and a sunny place during half of the year and the environment is far from
car and vehicle smoke emissions and city pollutions.

The chosen site is vacant lot and is about 200 kilometers away from its neighboring islands,
the Camara and the Capones Island. Tourists and local visitors could drop by the Proposed
La La Mei Resto Bar after a long and tiring day from the Camara and Capones Islands as
they would watch the scenic sunset view while they were at the Resto Bar.
