A.1. Why do you want to obtain a BA degree in Foreign languages and literatures/American studies/Applied modem
languages?
I want to obtain a BA degree in Foreign languages and literature in order to have an advantage in the labour market,
and of course, to master the language I study at the University.

A.2. What do you plan to do with your degree after you complete the program?
After, I plan to search for a work place in a domain which will help capitalize the degree I obtained.

Over the 1st semester at university, you have attended several types of classes and had to take on different tasks. (Except
for question B1, this section is exclusively about the Introduction to research and ICT class)

B.1. How do you think you have benefited from listening to lectures?
I I was able to learn many unknown aspects of the languages, it was introduced to me new concepts and ideas.

B.2. How do you think you have benefited from the pre-class preparation activities?
I learned how to work alone, search information and apply them.

B.3. How do you think you have benefited from the in-class discussions of course concepts with peers?
The in-class discussions helped me fix some misunderstandings that I had about various topics related to the
course.

B.4. How do you think you have benefited from the interactive, applied in-class activities?
The applied in-class activities gave me an example on how the things must be done, it deepened my knowledge and
helped me with my pre-class work.

B.5. How often would you say you participated and engaged in discussions in class? Provide some reasons.
I did not engage in the discussions of the class mostly because of my stress to speak in public, but the discussions
provided me valuable information.

B.6. How often would you say you read assigned readings/did your homework assignments prior to coming to class?
How did this influence your class performance?
I always did my homework assignments before coming to class and this helped me correct some mistakes that I made.

B.7. How often would you say you generally go(went) to class? Provide some reasons.
I generally went to classes, but the single times I didn’t attend them is because I was ill.
B.8. In your view, what is the most relevant thing you have learnt in this class? How do you plan to use it in the future?
The most relevant thing that I have learnt in this class is how to take notes. This will help me with the study.

C.1. What activities did you do for this course outside of class time?
I solved every assignment that it was given as a pre-class activity, and I applied those that I learnt in my daily life.

C.2. How much time did you spend for this class doing required homework assignments? [hours/week]
I spent generally between 10 to 12 hours per week.

C.3. How much time did you spend for this class doing other non-required preparations? [hours/week]
I spent between 3 to 4 hours per week doing non-required preparations.

C.4. What are the best ways that class time can be used to help you learn in this course?
The best ways that class time can be used to help me learn this course is taking notes, paying attention to what is
discussed, and engaging into discussions.

C.5. For best results, what percent of class time do you expect to spend listening to lectures and taking notes? Briefly
explain.
I think that in order to obtain best results it would enough that 50 percent of the time would be spend taking notes and
listening to lectures and the rest of the time should be dedicated to the practice. Firstly, we should all learn the theory
then the theory should be applied in group works.

C.6. For best results, what percent of class time do you expect to spend completing activities and working in small
groups? Briefly explain.
As I said before, first it should come the notions. After that the notions should be applied in group works and projects.

C.7. How do you expect to prepare for the exam in this course?
Firstly, I check every assignment in order to detect possible mistakes, if my assignments present some mistakes I correct
them, I review the instructions to make sure that I followed every one of them then I save the assignments so that I have
them ready for the moment I have to send them.

C.8. How much time do you expect to spend preparing for each exam?
I’m expecting to spend 4 or 5 days, regarding the difficulty of the exam.

C.9. Is answering these questions prior to exams beneficial for future exams? How?
Yes. Answering these questions prior to exams is beneficial because it helps me review my academic experience
throughout the semester and reminds me the strengths that I have in order to pass the exams.

The thing that I find most relevant about my experience and academic performance is that I was able to discover new
terms, I started to discover the secrets of a new language, I started to dig into its layers.
