Lollapalooza wants you!
We are excited to announce that British Council Chile, in collaboration with Lotus
Producciones, will offer 4 spaces to students who want to gain a unique professional
experience at an international event, Lollapalooza 2019!

MICRO-SCHOLARSHIPS IN CREATIVE INDUSTRIES LOLLAPALOOZA 29, 30, 31 MARCH 2019

General requirements
Being a team player is essential! You must have a minimum 2 years University/Technical
College training in an area related to the Creative Industries. Key program areas are
Hospitality, Gastronomy, Tourism, Sound engineering, Information Technology and
telecommunications, and Translation English Spanish.

You must:
 Be fluent in Spanish and spoken English (B2 level of oral English);
 be available full time for the 3-day event;
 Attend an induction session on Friday 22 March 2019 (Morning)
 be able to follow instructions;
 be professional;
 be able to produce a brief report (one page/500 words max) of your
experience upon completion.

Brief role profiles and Job specifications

Backstage Assistant (2 places)


 Offer the highest levels of personal service for International artists and their
production teams
 Have excellent communications skills
 be able to respond to the needs English-speaking counterparts
 Be a motivated, task-driven individual
Technical area Assistant (1 place)
This role will need to be available at least 2 half-days during the week prior to the main
event
 Have knowledge and technical background in computing, broadcasting, online
contents and live streaming.
 Be familiar with live video production/broadcast is
a bonus
 Be able to learn quickly and take initiative.

Information and customer service (1 place)


 Have excellent communications skills
 be able to respond to the needs English-speaking visitors
 Be fluent in Spanish and spoken English (B2 level of oral English)

How to apply

You must send:


 A brief letter stating your purpose to pursue the micro internship program (in
English)
 A letter of support signed by your academic director on campus (in Spanish,
please do not exceed 200 words; it must be singed and scanned)

Both documents must come in one email by 4pm on Tuesday March 5th, 2019 to
Tamara.Poblete@britishcouncil.cl and CC: mmiraglia@inacap.cl
In the subject headline of your email, please include your name/surname/ role you are
applying for (i.e. Backstage or Technical or customer service)

Your application letter must not exceed 300 words and you must state why you would
be ideal for the specific role you are applying for. Word Document header must include
your full name, your RUT, mobile phone number and your INACAP email address
(yourname@inacapmail.cl)

We will not consider any applications that: exceed the maximum word count, come from
first or second year students, incomplete applications, and applications from students who
come programs other than Hospitality, Tourism and Gastronomy; Informatics and
Telecommunications, Sound Engineering, and Translation.

British Council and INACAP will contact a short list of successful applicants and meet with
each one for a short interview soon after the deadline.
