Explain briefly the data acquisition system and human physiology.

DAS:
Data acquisition is the process of sampling signals that measure real world physical
condition such as temperature, light intensity, gas pressure, fluid flow and force then converting the
resulting samples into numerical computer value that can be manipulated by computer. Data
acquisition system (DAS) typically converts analog wave forms into digital value for processing.

The components of DAS include:

 Sensors that convert physical perimeters to electrical signals

 Signal conditioning circuitry to convert sensor signals into a form that can be converted to
digital values
 Analog –to-digital converters which convert digital values

DAS are controlled by software programs developed using various general purpose
programming languages such as BASIC, C, Fortran, Java, Lisp, Pascal.

Human Physiology:

Human physiology is the study of functions in the systems. It is the science of the
mechanical, physical and biochemical functions of normal humans or human tissues or organs. The
five basic components to understand human physiology is the organization of the body, support and
movement, integration and control, regulation and maintenance and also development and
reproduction.
