• Instruct a combined grade level class of 17 English Language Learners in all academic areas at a
bilingual Quaker school.
• Implement Lucy Calkins Reading and Writing Workshops, differentiating instruction in order to
increase student literacy.
• Incorporate verbal and written expectations during math lessons in order to build academic
vocabulary and increase the ability to explain one’s thinking.
• Utilize math games and creative projects to connect math units with real world applications.
• Design and implement yearlong curriculum for science and social studies, utilizing hands-on

• Partnered with a second grade teacher to implement Responsive Classroom strategies to support
students’ academic and social-emotional growth.
• Designed and taught all science and social studies curriculum using an inquiry model. Lesson formats
included partner and small group work, project based learning, and technology usage.
• Used the Everyday Math 4 curriculum to assist students individually and in small groups.
• Conferenced daily with students using Lucy Calkins Reading and Writing Workshop model.
• Taught weekly Life Skills lessons based on the curriculum developed by Greene Street Friends,
which encourages the ongoing social and emotional development of all students.
• Worked with the Spanish Integration Committee to increase Spanish language visibility throughout
the school community and provided Spanish language workshops for teachers.

• Oversaw all aspects of the School Therapeutic Services (STS) program at F. Amedee Bregy
Elementary, a Philadelphia public school serving students in grades K-8.
 • Collaborated with the school counselor, teachers and learning specialists to develop comprehensive
learning plans for students.
• Regularly met with parents/guardians to support family engagement and provide referrals for
outside community resources when needed.
• Ran multiple group therapy sessions weekly, which focused on strengthening students’ executive
functioning skills.
• Generated individual treatment plans that operated on a strength-based approach for all 30 clients.
• Provided weekly clinical supervision for the STS team and promoted a culture of teamwork and
collaboration within the program.

Elementary, a Philadelphia public school.
