DepEd-SJDMC division office now ISO certified

The Department of Education Schools Division Office of the San Jose Del Monte City is now
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certified.

Being the second ISO certified schools division office in the division of Bulacan, DepEd-SJDMC
officially received the certification in the awarding ceremony last October 8 at the San Jose del Monte
Central School.

According to Education Program Supervisor in English, Marlon P. Daclis, the division office was
recognized because it was able to follow what an international standard organization must have, mainly a
quality manual which clearly includes all the processes, objectives, and policies in the division.

“The ISO guarantees better and high quality services for the clients, so we must consistently
improve the way we deliver services,” he added.

The DepEd-SJDMC DO started its journey towards ISO accreditation last June 27 with the help of
paid consultants to expedite their applications.

Germelina H. Pascual, Schools Division Superintendent, gave her remarks on the certification in
a video presented at the opening program.

Daclis said that after the certification will be the regular surveillance to assure that all processes
will be kept clear and systematic.

"It's like a continuous improvement process. It does not end in the granting of the certification ," he
ended.
