Introduction
As part of its Applications Unlimited Program Oracle continues to invest in PeopleSoft applications on
an ongoing basis, including frequent delivery of significant new functionality on its latest 9.2 release.
Customers can selectively adopt new features and enhancements using the PeopleSoft Update
Manager.
o In general, new capabilities delivered in Update Images do not require additional software
license fees, but Oracle reserves the rights to decide if some specific new features and/or new
products can require new software licenses.
o PeopleSoft Update Images have no effect on Oracle support policies. A detailed listing of
support periods for each PeopleSoft product family and release is included in the Lifetime
Support Policy Overview data sheet, which is available on Oracle.com
(http://www.oracle.com/us/support/lifetime-support/index.html).
Oracle/PeopleSoft continues to deliver new and enhanced functionality designed to help drive
organizational effectiveness, provide decision support tools to facilitate intelligent business execution
The Fluid User Interface (Fluid UI) continues to be one of the most exciting and revolutionary new
features PeopleSoft has delivered in years. PeopleSoft HCM and ELM plan to continue to deliver self-
service applications that can be used from multiple devices (smartphone, mini-tablet, tablet,
laptop/desktop) and which provide an optimized user experience across different form factors.
Employees no longer need to use a single device to get their job done. The adoption of mobile
technology (smartphones/tablets) has grown exponentially in the last few years, and your employees
expect to be able to do their job from wherever they are. PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface has enabled
PeopleSoft applications to deliver solutions that are optimized for multiple devices. The user experience
is now consistent across different form factors since the applications are fluid, responsive, and adjusts
to the device being used.
This document describes functionality that has been delivered in the following areas:
o Functionality Across Applications
o Absence Management
o Benefits
o Enterprise Learning Management
o eCompensation
o ePay
o ePerformance
o eProfile Manager Desktop
o Global Payroll
o Global Payroll for Brazil
o Global Payroll for France

document.
Learners use this page to access compliant content for a class. It now includes a progress bar at the top. This bar
displays the percentage of the class that the learner has completed. The system calculates this percentage based
on all chapters and subchapters for the class that have a status. The system considers Passed, Failed, and
Completed statuses as complete for the purposes of calculating class progress.
In addition, you can now enable bookmarking for this page so that when a learner clicks Save on this page, the
system saves the learner’s location in the compliant content. This enables learners to pick up where they left off
when they launch compliant content that is already in progress.
Learner Merge
A situation can sometimes occur within organizations in which there are both external and internal
learner profiles for the same person. For example, a contractor who was originally added to your ELM
system as an external learner could be hired permanently leading to the creation of an internal learner
profile. This results in duplicate active learner records and distributed learning history for the same
person. In this type of situation, merging the duplicate learners manually is tedious and time consuming.
The Merge Learners component enables you to merge the learning of external source learners to a
target internal learner, creating a single, unified learning record for the learner in your ELM system.
Navigation Collections
Navigation Collections provide a quick and easy way to navigate to any set of PeopleSoft pages or components.
With Navigation Collections, users can click on one tile to access dozens of Fluid and Classic components that
would normally require more lengthy individual navigation through the Nav Bar. Customers can easily modify
delivered Navigation Collections or create new ones to suit their business needs.
You can access delivered Navigation Collections using tiles from both the Talent Administrator and Learning
Instructor Fluid home pages.
Fluid Approvals
Fluid Approval functionality is now available on all types of devices.
The Fluid Approvals interface for managers is very similar to the previous Mobile Approval Platform
(MAP) interface, ensuring a seamless transition for your end users.
For administrators, Fluid Approvals provides simple and powerful configuration options. Administrators
can now use Page Composer to easily modify approval page layouts, fields, and labels.
The following Fluid Approval transactions are available in PeopleSoft ELM 9.2 image 15:

These processes are responsible for extracting data that is required for their eSocial events, populating it to
corresponding staging tables, and calling the application engine to generate XML files from data stored in staging
tables.
With the recent enhancements to the existing Application Framework, we now support co-existence of multiple
versions for DSN in the same instance. This allows the user to continue submitting production data based on a prior
version, along with test file submissions that comply with the latest DSN norm.
Using Update DSN Data page you can also update the existing structure, add new instance of a structure, delete
structures, reverse deleted structures and generate the updated file.

Recruiting Solutions
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to one or both of the
Candidate Gateway and Talent Acquisition Manager applications.
Fluid Candidate Gateway
Fluid Candidate Gateway offers applicants a modern and intuitive experience as they search for jobs, apply for jobs,
and track job opportunities. The mobile-friendly design gives applicants the flexibility to apply for jobs using mobile
devices as well as desktops and laptops.
Fluid Candidate Gateway uses the same setup as classic Candidate Gateway to provide robust and highly
configurable functionality, so moving to the Fluid User Interface doesn’t require a whole new implementation.
When applicants access Fluid Candidate Gateway, the first page to appear is the new Careers page. This page
provides a quick keyword search option along with links to other areas of the application.
If the applicant is signed in, the page displays counts of notifications, applications, favorite jobs, and saved
searches.
The Actions List gives applicants quick access to all areas of Fluid Candidate Gateway from pages throughout the
system:
Most other pages in Fluid Candidate Gateway are equivalent to the corresponding classic pages. This example
illustrates the Search Jobs page, where applicants use a combination of keyword searching and filters to find job
postings of interest. In this example, the site is configured not to show optional fields and not to allow applicants to
select and apply for multiple jobs in one application, but Fluid Candidate Gateway fully supports those configuration
options.
Fluid Candidate Gateway, like classic Candidate Gateway, provides a guided job application process. In Fluid
Candidate Gateway, the steps in the process appear in a left panel, and applicants move through the process using
Previous and Next buttons at the top of the page.
The Apply for Job page on a small form factor device, where the step list becomes a slide-out panel.
Note. Fluid Candidate Gateway support for Federal Preferences, US Priority Placement, and Refer a Friend
functionality is delivered in PeopleSoft HCM Update Image 19.
Oracle delivers one pivot grid, the Job Opening Aging Analysis, in the Related Information tab. Users access the My
Analytics tab to create their own simplified analytics.
For additional information, see HCM Manager Self Service Simplified Analytics
A push button in User Preference option in Weekly Time screen allows the user to select any one of the three copy
time preferences.
The Copy from schedule and Copy Task Values follow the same flow as copy from prior period.
• Copy from schedule: Copies reported time from the employee schedule
• Copy Task Values: Copies from Task Values set up in User Preferences in Classic PIA
When copying time from schedule and Task Values, there is no need for displaying a calendar.
Oracle delivers the Time Categories Comparison pivot grid in the Related Information tab of the Team Time page
and the Attendance Violations pivot grid in the Related Information tab of the Manage Exceptions page. Users
access the My Analytics tab to create their own simplified analytics.
The Manage Exceptions fluid page and the slide-out panel for related information
For additional information, see HCM Manager Self Service Simplified Analytics
Use the additional pages within the Name Format Types component to setup rules specific to the Display Name,
Formal Name, and PS Name.
Absence Management
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to the Absence
Management application.
Absence Cancelation
Users can now cancel existing absence requests using the Cancel Absence page. They simply select a reason for
canceling and click the Cancel Absence button. The Absence Cancellation functionality is available for employees,
managers, and administrators.
The Employee Snapshot shows a summarized view of talent related information using tiles. The left panel displays
contextual views based on a business process that the manager wants to complete. The right panel displays the
content on a dashboard using tiles to summarize information. The PeopleSoft HCM application delivers the
Summary and Promotion Readiness business processes and dashboards to manage and analyze information about
your workforce.
Click tiles to access modal pages and view details about the related information. On some modal pages, you can
drill down further to see additional details about a specific row of data.
Viewing empty position on the My Team pages when empty positions is enabled in the system
Example of the Global Payroll Analytics page showing the Gross Pay Variance pivot
The Global Payroll Variance Analytics pivots display payroll results from two different pay periods, enabling you to
compare previous and current values, looking for differences that exceed a certain amount. For example, you might
want to look for payees whose salary increased or decreased by 10% or more from one period to the next. You can
view variance analytics for gross pay, net pay, earnings, or deductions.
Mobile Payslips
The Mobile Payslip feature uses the PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface to render payslip information for small form
factor devices, enabling employees to view payslip information on their smartphones.
The Payment Summary page provides a brief summary of payslip information and enables you to access more
detailed payslip information relating to earnings and deductions, payment distribution, payroll balances, absence
balances, and payslip analytics.
As of HCM Image 19, this functionality has been implemented for the following Global Payroll Country Extensions:
Argentina
Australia
China
Hong Kong
Malaysia
Mexico
New Zealand
Singapore
Spain
Switzerland
Thailand
United Kingdom
Pre-hiring events
Termination events
After events are generated, customers can track event statuses using the eSocial Events Monitor:
Use of eSocial Events Monitor to look up generated events and view event statuses
View event details by clicking a number link in the Search Results section
For events that have gone through the XML creation step successfully, they are ready to be submitted to the
government of Brazil. Global Payroll for Brazil delivers two synchronous services to facilitate the transfer of eSocial
data between PeopleSoft and third party systems that are responsible for handling communications with the eSocial
environment of the Brazilian government. These services are developed to submit XML outputs of processed
events, and gather delivery results that are returned from the government.
Human Resources
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to Human Resources and Position
Management.
Mass Update for Business Titles between Position Data and Job Data
When taking advantage of the Position Management functionality, the position data will provide the Business Title
and Position Phone field values on the Job Data - Employment Information page. You can now use the Refresh
Person Org Assignments AE batch process to keep these fields updated whenever future dated rows in Position
Data become current.
This process also takes into consideration related language entries. Run this process to update data whenever
required or as a nightly run.
The two steps of the Refer Friend process in Fluid Candidate Gateway
Fluid Candidate Gateway also now supports US Federal sections in the online job application, including
Federal Preferences and Federal Priority Placement.
The Terms and Conditions page in the job application has been redesigned for greater
usability.
The keyword field that applicants use to search for jobs now displays guidance text to help
applicants understand the types of keywords they can use.
Applicant Diversity Overview Analytic
Talent Acquisition Manager now includes a Diversity Overview chart that shows four important
measures of diversity: ethnicity, gender, disability, and veteran status.
You can see all diversity measures at once, or you can drill down for a closer look at a specific diversity
measure.
Filters enable you to choose the date range to report on. You can also filter data by a variety of job
data, including job title, job code, location, department, business unit, recruiter, and hiring manager.
For administrators, Fluid Approvals provides simple and powerful configuration options. Administrators
can now use Page Composer to easily modify approval page layouts, fields, and labels.
The following Fluid Approval transactions are available in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 image 20:
Absence Cancellation
Absence Request
Ad Hoc Salary Change
HR Notifications in Fluid
You can now compose and send notifications using the fluid pages. Service ID HCSC_NOTIFY_FLU is
available as a Related Content Service and can be configured as a Related Action on any fluid page.
The attachments are visible on review and approval pages, including the administrator approval page.
Attachments are supported in the Fluid Approval pages that are available in image 20, but not in the
older Mobile Approval Platform (MAP) pages.
The new Attachments section on the guided self-service Review & Submit page
Recruiting Solutions
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to one or both of the
Candidate Gateway and Talent Acquisition Manager applications.
Diversity by Application Analytic
Talent Acquisition Manager now includes an additional diversity analytic: the Diversity by Application
pivot grid.
This pivot grid provides information about ethnicity, gender, disability, and veteran status. It displays one
diversity type at a time and provides prompts so you can change which diversity type is shown. A
variety of filters and drilldown options are available.
Unlike the companion Diversity Overview chart, this chart counts each application separately. This
means that an applicant who applies for multiple jobs is counted once for each application.
The Payment Summary page provides a brief summary of payslip information and enables you to
access more detailed payslip information relating to earnings and deductions, payment distribution,
payroll balances, absence balances, and payslip analytics.
As of HCM Image 20, this functionality has been implemented for the following Global Payroll Country
Extensions:
Argentina
Australia
China
Hong Kong
India
Japan
Malaysia
Mexico

application.
Fluid Pages for Affordable Care Act
The Benefits Details page now has a new navigation collection for the Affordable Care Act, with two fluid pages:
In this image, the Total Reward Statement feature is also available in the fluid user interface, which
gives users the ability to view statements from any device of their choice. Fluid total rewards statements
are rendered dynamically based on the screen size of the device being used. They are presented in a
3-panel layout when viewed on large and medium form factors:
Left panel: lists reward sections that are included in the statement.
Right panel: displays useful information and links that are related to the selected reward
section.
Breakdown of a selected reward category on the fluid Total Rewards Statement, along with useful information specific to that reward
Administrators now have more control over the display of total rewards statements through template
configuration. For example, they can decide whether or not to include employee contributions in the
calculation of overall totals and section totals. They can also choose which columns to appear in section
grids, and include images, links and informational text for each section to provide additional assistance
to viewers.
Human Resources
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to the Human Resources
application.
(USA) Form I-9 2017 Updates
The online Form I-9 is aligned with the USCIS I-9 Form changes approved November 14, 2016. These
enhancements include updated field labels and formatting, embedded help on each field to ensure
information is entered correctly, the ability to enter multiple preparers and translators, a dedicated area
for including additional information, and so forth.
As delivered, the two new transactions present the same fields to managers (including the newly
supported Expected Return Date field). They also share a single approval process. The transactions
differ in the action that gets inserted into the employee’s job record: Leave of Absence or Paid Leave of
Absence.
