What is the Think Big…Think Cost Savings Programme?

What is the programme all about?

The Programme is funded by Coleraine Borough Council and the European Regional Development Fund under
the Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland 2007 – 2013 and is delivered by Full Circle
Management Solutions Ltd.

The core aims of the Programme are to help you / your staff to:

Review the current cost base of your business and identify areas where you can reduce costs without
adversely affecting commercial performance.

Produce better quality financial information internally to allow you to manage your business more
effectively on a day to day basis.

Understand better the financial information that you are getting from your accountants / financial
advisors.

Identify potential sources of finance to allow you to survive, consolidate and grow.

Maximise margins for each part of your product / service range.

How do we deliver this Programme?

In the current economic climate, most owner-managers are under significant pressure. We understand this
and recognise the need to engage with participants in a way that is HIGHLY PRACTICAL.

Our whole approach involves “rolling up the sleeves” and helping you to:

Identify the current strengths and the current weaknesses of the business.

Prioritise key areas for change in your business.

Help you to make the key changes that will impact positively on business performance.
What does the Programme involve?
The Programme contains 3 key elements, namely:

1. A half day “discovery workshop” to launch the Programme. During this workshop, we will provide an
introduction to Best Practice in:
- Reducing costs in your business.
- Producing and using better quality financial information for your business.
- Securing external finance.

2. A financial health-check of your business. We will put all aspects of your business “under the “spotlight”
in order to identify areas where you can make tangible cost reductions / efficiencies / improvements. We
will then provide you with a report which maps out what you can do to achieve these cost reductions,
efficiencies or improvements.

This health-check will be carried out at your premises by one of our highly experienced consultants. You
will be entitled to a total of 0.75 days [6 hours] of tailored consultancy support for this health-check.

3. Tailored consultancy support. The consultant allocated to you will work with you during the course of the
Programme to make REAL change in your business – identifying areas where costs can be reduced,
improving the quality of your financial information etc. You will be entitled to a total of 4 days [32 hours]
of tailored consultancy support in total.
Your consultant will meet with you at your premises at times / dates that suit you.

You should apply if you:

Have a business that is based in the Borough of Coleraine.

Wish to explore how you can reduce costs in your business without effecting performance.
Wish to develop and enhance your understanding of the financial operations of your business .

How much does it cost?

Coleraine Borough Council and the European Regional Development Fund under European Sustainable
Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland is investing heavily in this Programme to support
participating businesses to maximise growth opportunities. Participants will receive over £2,300 worth of
consultancy support for the subsidised rate of only £199 + VAT.
