    Dear Music Parents!


    Although finals are coming soon for the end of semester 1, I wanted to get dates out for
    the remainder of our year. There are some exciting opportunities for our students and I don’t
    want anyone to miss out!
    Jan. 31 Senior Jazz Band clinic @ Peacock 1pm with BMC Organ Trio from Toronto
    -Concert starts at 7pm in the auditorium. Tickets are $5 available at the door only
    Feb. 5 U of R Concert band working with students 1pm
    -2pm Concert open to the public featuring U of R Concert Band and Jazz Band
    Feb. 12 Concert Choir I at ChorFest in Regina
    March 20 or 21 Senior Concert Band @ Optimist Festival in Regina
    Late March Fundraising Concert featuring all music groups
    April 1 or 2 Moose Jaw Music Festival for all Choir groups
    -Typically during the school day
    April 8-12 Moose Jaw Music Festival for all bands, jazz bands, soloists etc.
    -Typically during the school day
    May Spring Tour TBA
    -Typically a Sun-Wed trip out of province
    June Year End concert TBA

    Performances, festival appearances and clinics are part of our learning process. Since all of these
    ensembles are group projects, it is imperative that all students attend. It makes a huge difference
    when students are suddenly missing! If there is some extenuating circumstance that does not
    allow your student to attend, please contact me by email as soon as possible.
