[I] KNOWN ISSUES

1. The Samsung S5 may freeze while being powered on: If this occurs, simply
remove the battery and power ON again
2. SIP BYE message missing from a UE when STOP recording is executed: This will
be fixed in a future release of Viavi RANAdvisor. When a STOP Recording
command is issued, RANAdvisor will terminate all tests and close down the log
file. It is possible that the final SIP Bye message is not captured during the
shutdown phase. This has no effect on the calls themselves terminating or the
log file stopping. Unless the user is monitoring the SIP protocol they will not be
aware that the final SIP Bye message may not be captured. There is no action
necessary by the user.
3. Mobile devices not terminating the call when STOP recording is executed:
When a user presses the STOP Recording button, RANAdvisor will terminate all
active tests and close down the log file. Any active calls are signaled to be
ended. With the Samsung S5 SMG900A with COI5 engineering firmware in use,
it is possible that some of the mobiles may not end their active call. The log file
itself still does shut down and is not corrupted. The user should visually check
that the Samsung S5 mobiles have ended their calls before starting a new
recording. If any mobiles are still on a call, the call should be terminated by
pressing the mobile's end-call button.
4. Samsung S6 Edge+ will not tether: You simply need to unplug/plug the USB
cable from the Samsung S6 SM-G920A and this should restore Tethering
functionality (if it is available on your at&t wireless service)

Configure Viavi ANOVA5.0

[VIII-B] ANOVA Device Standardized Naming Conventions

It is important that you adhere to the file naming conventions as described above, as
well as device naming conventions:
• Refer to the section called Configure the W1314B Viavi Scanner for scanner naming
conventions
• UE naming conventions should not be changed from the default ANOVA naming
scheme: ATT_USER, ATT_DOWNLINK, ATT_UPLINK, ATT_CSFBMO, ATT_CSFBMT,
ATT_VOLTEMO, ATT_VOLTEMT, VZW_USER

[VIII-C] How to name your files in RANAdvisor

How to Name Your Logfile in RANAdvisor

[X] HOW TO EXPORT YOUR VIAVI DRIVE TEST DATA

The following steps walk the user through the steps of exporting the collected Viavi
RANAdvisor logs for post-processing, analysis, etc.

1. Viavi RANAdvisor Project Manager Best Practices

• Do not change the data paths of the Viavi Project Manager
• Do not delete or move any JDSU installation files
• Only use the Project Manager to manage, export, or import your projects or
drive test data – Do not use Windows Explorer or simple Windows File
Management
• When you first receive a toolkit, clone and export (to a safe location) the
project that you will be using – this guarantees that you will always have your
project intact
• Refrain from cloning a project multiple times (i.e. clone of a clone of a clone)
– only clone exclusively from the original project

2. How to Export your Viavi RANAdvisor Drive Test Data

a. From within JDSU open Project Manager: File Project Manager
b. Select the project that contains the data (i.e. drives) that you want to
export
c. Click on Export Project

Figure 29 - Project Manager --> Export Project

d. Click Browse to specify where you want to export the project and drive(s)

Figure 31 - Successful project export

h. Your data is now stored in the location that you selected for export
i. Note that you have 3 files: .APJ, .APS, and .AOD
• APJ: Contains individual project information like views, layout, hardware lists,
properties and sequences
• APS: Contains information about your project manager
• AOD: Contains all the measurement information
