LESSON PLAN In SCIENCE 6


4th Quarter

Teacher: Fevie Andrea L. Pardillo

I- OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Describe the weather of the day
2. Perform examples of activities during wet and dry seasons
3. Share thoughts about the dangers of having long dry season and long wet season

II – Subject Matter
Title: Weather patterns in the Philippines (weather patterns and seasons)
References: K-12 DepEd Learning Materials (DepEd Teachers Club)
Materials: school OLEP, mini visual aids

III – Procedures:
A. Preparation
- Greetings
- Briefing of students for about the outdoor activity
- short orientation of expected behavior outside the classroom and things to bring

B. Presentation of the lesson


- the teacher presents the objectives of the day through print outs visible to the students.
- Motivation
*gather ideas from the students about seasons (winter spring, summer, fall) and
show pictures connected to the said seasons.
C. Activity Proper
- Activity
*Ask the students to describe the things that they can observe around them
which sums up to the weather today
*the teacher will discuss with the students their listed observations.
*the teacher will introduce the 2 seasons of the Philippines (wet and dry)
- Analysis
*The teacher will ask the students why our country (Philippines) only has 2
seasons

* The teacher will probe the students and scaffold them to get the right
answers and continue on the discussion
- Abstraction
*the teacher will then ask the students about any possible activities that
they can enjoy during wet and dry season
*the students will be grouped into 7 so that they can perform thorough
brainstorming with their classmates
- Application
* The students will be asked to perform the activities they’ve enumerated
through role playing
