CONCLUSIONS
• The eligibility principle should be
clearly stated in the text of the
regulation.
• The proportion of the budget for the
shared management method should be
maintained.
• Attention should be paid to legislative
development through delegated and
implementing acts.
• 11 policy recommendations focus on
areas of support or specific measures;
besides this, 4 policy recommendations
are suggested for the current European
Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
• Action taken to improve the text should
not come at a price by making it
prescriptive or unnecessarily complex.
• Timely approval of the basic regulation
is an asset for successful programme
development and implementation.
• Direct comparison between the
European Maritime and Fisheries Fund
(EMFF) and the post-2020 fund should
be carefully done during budget
negotiations.
• A follow-up action for the current EMFF
would benefit on-going PECH
