ADDITIONAL CROSS REFERENCE TABLE

INTRODUCTION

PURPOSE
This document which supplements the IPC is supplied together with
each revision of the IPC. It is intended to:

- supply the list of Optional PNs (Part number) and Vendors.

- facilitate cross-reference of data contained in the IPC and the
other A/C manufacturer manuals such as the WDM and AMM.
- list raw materials required for local manufacture of items.
- prodide identification for Lamps and Fuses.
- provide informations related to the interchangeability
condition of the PNs. (ICD: Interchangeability Condition
Document)

NOTE: This document is not customised and covers all Airbus A340
fleets.

This document is divided in 5 sections:

1. THE STANDARD CROSS-REFERENCE TABLE (NON INTERNATIONAL

STANDARDS)
This section lists the optional standards PNs likely to be
used for the same function as the basic PN and the various
Vendors from whom these PNs may be procured.
In microfiche format, each microfiche is named "CROSS-REF".

2. THE LIST OF THE FUNCTIONAL ITEM NUMBERS (FIN) including :

FINs (Functional Item Number) allocated to electrical,
electronic, mechanical equipment, access doors, floor panels
and some lining items.

This list may be used in connection with the WDM (only for
FINs allocated to electrical or electronic equipment) and AMM
for all FINs.

It may be used to quickly locate an item in the IPC, based on

on-aircraft investigation findings (reading of the FIN), or to
quickly locate the zone identification for access doors, floor
panels or lining items.

INTRODUCTION

This double-entry document (by PN and by FIN) gives for each

item, the PN, FIN, CSN(s) (Catalog Sequence Number) containing
the item, keyword, MSN effectivity, overlength PN(s) and
optional PN(s).

In microfiche format, each microfiche of this section is named

"PN" for the entry by PN or "FIN" for the entry by FIN or
ACCESS DOOR for the zone identification double-entry (PN or
FIN).

3. X FILE (LOCAL MANUFACTURE CROSS REFERENCE TABLE).

This section provides a relationship between the raw material
and the corresponding finished PN for all the parts authorized
by Airbus Industrie for local manufacture (LM). These PN are
identified in the IPC by letters "LM" at the end of the
description.

This double-entry (by raw material PN and by finished PN)

gives for each item the raw material PN, FSCM, and KEYWORD.

4. IPC LAMPS, FUSES IDENTIFICATION.

These tables enable identification of replaceable lamps and
fuses.

The search key is the functional designation, which enables

identification of the item or the next higher assembly of the
item to be replaced.

The CHAP/SEC breakdown is identical to the IPC or AMM

breakdown.

5. INTERCHANGEABILITY CONDITION DOCUMENT.

The ICD contains the following information:

- The BASIC PART NUMBER, with its associated CAGE CODE(FSCM),

which is the PN the operator wants to replace.
- The related Functional Item Numbers (FIN).
- The IPC Catalog Sequence Numbers (CSN) including IPC Figure
and Item Numbers.
- The conditions / actions / information to be considered when
installing the REPLACING PART NUMBER.

INTRODUCTION

- The REPLACING PART NUMBER, with its associated CAGE CODE, is

the part number that can be installed under the mentioned
conditions, instead of the old partnumber.

2 Functional designation:

- of the item to be replaced

8 FSCM for the vendor of the item to be replaced.

INTERCHANGEABILITY CONDITION DOCUMENT

1 Basic PN in alphanumerical order.

2 Cage code: Vendor code of the basic PN.

3 FIN: this column lists all FINs (Functional Item Number)

related to the same basic PN. When these FINs appear under
several CSNs (Catalog Sequence Number), each CSN is identified
in the IPC REFERENCE column.

4 IPC reference: this column lists all the CSNs that include the
basic PN.

5 Conditions: this column lists the conditions / actions /

information to be considered when installing the replacing
part number.

6 Replacing PN: the REPLACING PART NUMBER, with its associated

CAGE CODE, is the part number that can be installed under the
mentioned conditions, instead of the basic part number.

7 Cage code: Vendor code of the Replacing PN.
