The Brightlights Festival is celebrating its 20th Birthday!

Brightlights is a Catholic young adults weekend festival open to anyone between

the ages of 16 – 30 years. This year the Festival is moving a little north…to the
Midlands and the Kenelm Youth Trust is playing host at Alton. Festival goers can
choose to camp or stay in one of our two residential retreat centres serving the
Archdiocese of Birmingham and beyond. With numerous accommodation options
available – choose to stay in Alton Castle or the newly renovated Soli, formerly the
Lord Shrewsbury Pub. With the gift that Pope Francis has given us in the Jubilee
Year of Mercy, it’s natural for the theme of the weekend to be Mercy. Input from
speakers, workshops and activities will allow festival goers the opportunity to learn
more and delve deeper into the topic.
