Direct Examination

PUBLIC PROS: Your Honor, we present Ms. Antonetta Cruz, the Barangay
Captain of 27-C who was present at the time of the alleged incident and her
testimony is being offered to prove that the accused did not deliberately cause the
damage to the property of complainant.

PUBLIC PROS: Ms. CRUZ, in what language would you like your testimony to
proceed?

INTERPRETER: Ms. CRUZ, sa unsang lingwahi nimo gusto pagabuhaton ang

imong testimonya?

CRUZ: English, Ma’am.

PUBLIC PROS: Ms. CRUZ, do you remember executing a judicial affidavit for
this case?

INTERPRETER:Ms. CRUZ, nakahinumdom ba ka nga nag buhat kag salaysay

para ani nga kaso?

CRUZ: Yes, Ma’am.

INTERPRETER: Oo, Ma’am.

PUBLIC PROS: I am showing you a document which is entitled as Judicial
Affidavit, is this the same judicial affidavit you executed?

INTERPRETER: Nagapakita ko ug dokumento sa imo nga giulohan nga Judicial

Affidavit, mao ba ni ang judicial affidavit nga imong gibuhat?

CRUZ: Yes, Ma’am.

INTERPRETER: Oo, Ma’am.

PUBLIC PROS: The Witness has positively identified the Judicial Affidavit
marked as Exhibit “3”, this serves as the direct testimony of Ms. Antonetta Cruz.

INTERPRETER: Positibo nga giila sa witness ang Judicial Affidavit, nga gi-

PUBLIC PROS: I am showing you this document consisting of ___ pages with a
signature written on the affiant portion, whose signature is that?

INTERPRETER: Ginapakita nako nimo ning documento nga adunay ___ nga mga
panid nga naay pirma sa “affiant portion” (points to the document), kang kinsang
pirma ni?

CRUZ: It’s my signature.

PUBLIC PROS: The Witness has positively identified her signature in the
Judicial Affidavit marked as Exhibit “3”.

PUBLIC PROS: Can you review and confirm the contents of the Judicial
Affidavit? Do you wish to change anything?

INTERPRETER: Pwede ba nimo basahon ug kumpirmahon ang sulod nianing

Judicial Affidavit? Naa ba kay gusto usbon?

CRUZ: Yes, I confirm, Ma’am. I do not wish to change anything.

INTERPRETER: Oo, ginakumpirma nako, Ma’am. Wa nakoy gustong usbon.
