1st Samian Coarse angling tournament

Marathokampos reservoir
Samos Island, Greece
Invitation

Dear friends,

The Nautical Club of Karlovassi has the

honor of inviting you to take part in the 1th
Samian Coarse angling Tournament, that
will be held on 06 and 07 of April 2019 in
Samos island – Greece.
Samos is a warm and welcoming island in
North Aegean and a place where sport fishing is a new and
ascending sport for local people. Our club believes that an
international angling event, will help our athletes to gain new
fishing abilities from the quests, and in return, we will give the
opportunity to foreign athletes to visit Samos island and see
closely the local beautiful sights and live the real Samian
hospitality.

In name of Nautical Club of Karlovassi and, in my personal name,

we wish everyone visiting us, an excellent stay and that this
Tournament will achieve your goals, in an environment of piece,
friendship and, above all, “fair play”.

Nautical Club of Karlovassi

The President
Makis Aidinis
Samos island
Samos is a Greek island
in the eastern Aegean
Sea, off the coast of Asia
Minor, from which it is
separated by the 1.6-
kilometre (1.0 mi)-wide
Mycale Strait.
In ancient times Samos
was an especially rich
and powerful city-state,
particularly known for
its vineyards and wine
production. It is home to
Pythagoreion and the
Heraion of Samos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that includes
the Eupalinian aqueduct, a marvel of ancient engineering. Samos
is the birthplace of the Greek philosopher and mathematician
Pythagoras, after whom the Pythagorean theorem is named, the
philosopher Epicurus, and the astronomer Aristarchus of Samos,
the first known individual to propose that the Earth revolves
around the sun. Samian wine was well known in antiquity, and is
still produced on the island.
Marathokampos reservoir
