Required Business Decisions

In this section provide a description of the business decisions that are required from this Solution Paper.
Document the detail required at a business event, configuration group and/or an IMG Configuration item.
Describe why these decisions are required and the role they play in the overall configuration. In addition
any configuration guiding principles that affect the Business decisions should be documented as Business
Implications (i.e. what are the rules, boundaries, and limitations of ERP).
Where applicable a detailed analysis of the different options and the advantages and disadvantages of
each of the options will be provided along with the recommended solution. Alternatively, a discussion of
the appropriate solution may only be provided.
Assumptions

 PM Order for the defects will be created through notification.

 Separate PM Orders will be created without notification for consumables for a defined
period.
 User will change control key as WCM where permit process needs to be followed.

Business Decisions / Design Considerations

 At BSPHCL different type orders will be created for Breakdown maintenance,

Preventive maintenance and Regular maintenance.
 Separate number ranges will be configured for different types of orders.
 Grouping of PM orders will be done at PM Activity types.
 Priorities will be created for PM orders.
 Order short text will be created as first operation.

9. Set Screen Templates for Completion Confirmation.

Use: The purpose of this activity is to maintain a specific combination of screen areas in the
overall completion confirmation.
The data fields for the completion confirmation are grouped according to content. You can find
these groups again on the individual screens. This enables you to find a screen template for the
header data, which you can select as required. Other confirmation objects can be assigned to
individual screen areas.
You can choose from five screen areas. A screen area consists of two parts. You can structure
the assignment of the following individual confirmation objects as required:
 Times for order operation
 Services
 Goods movement
 Causes of damage
 Measurement and counter readings
 Tasks
 Activities
You can also activate pushbuttons for the setting. This function enables you to reach less
frequently used confirmation functions using pushbuttons. Deactivated pushbuttons mean that
this function is not allowed for this profile.
If you only want to fill one part of a screen area with a presetting, then this can only be on the
left-hand side of the screen. An incorrect configuration of the screen area is automatically
corrected.

Procedure:

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
