Agosto.
esperanzas.
August. The tide is out, the sky and the ground are the same, the
day ends. A marvelous beach in Huelva with a very unpoetic name.
A good moment to observe what the sea hides during the day: an
infinite carpet of shells and conch, almost all broken. A neverending
set of dishes, broken into bits and pieces that the sea has always
swept onto the shore. We’ll never be able to see the whole thing, only
little pieces and fragments, unrecognizable. People look for the less
deteriorating pieces and they take them home to remember that set
of dishes that never existed, yet will remain present in our dreams and
are part of our hope.
