INTRODUCTION
This study has been made to check the structural integrity of the optional
proposed 15m traffic signal pole with 16 sided section for the arm and circular
section for the shaft (drawing attached) following AASHTO Design Standard.
The cantilever and the shaft shall be checked and designed to resist fatigue
according to the above said standard.
For loading analysis computer program is used (report attached).
This study includes the design of arm, shaft, clamp and base plate.
Note: Copy of relevant pages for the above said standard attached.

Each bar will be welded fillet weld both side, the side which is near to the door
opening will have a weld (a1) of 4mm size and the other one (a2) will be 10 mm .
Length of the bar 900 mm ,FATIGUE CHECK IS DONE ON THE WELDING

BENDING MOMENT = 109 KN.M .
TORSION = 0 KN.M
- WIND GUST :
AXIAL = 30 KN .
SHEAR= 3.16 KN .

We will not make the check for this load case since the loads are less than the
galloping case
