Themes:

A. Individualism vs. Collectivism

I believe that people should be free to individually express themselves in any

way, but that people should collectively make society better as a whole. So

B. Progressive vs. Traditional

I value personal freedom and expression heavily over traditional values, and

agree with any progressive changes that society makes away from the norm.

C. Tender vs. Tough

I’m strongly inclined towards tender positions rather than tough positions. I

believe that kindness and compassion in political and regular life can make the society better as

a whole.

D. Democracy vs. Meritocracy

I think that political office should be held by those qualified to a certain extent, but given

the option between a qualified candidate and a candidate that I think is a better person, I would

choose the latter.

E. Big Government vs. Small Government

I think that the government should be large enough to play a small supporting role in

social and political equality, along with its more traditional roles of military protection and

security.

Prompt:

My political beliefs starkly reflect my morality and background. So I’m mostly

unsurprised by what the quiz had to say about me. I’m a progressive because I’ve had a non

traditional upbringing, and have friends, who are, to put it nicely, very untraditional.
This progressivism manifests itself heavily in my beliefs about individualism, where,

maintaining the rights to express yourself and better yourself, free from the social and political

oppression of collective entities, is what being a progressive and an individualist are to me. On

the other hand, my tender side makes me sympathetic to the idea that working for what’s better

for everyone rather than for yourself, is in fact, better than everyone. I think these ideas reflect

themselves clearly in my everyday life, my need to work independently from others, or to instead

work for everyone else, and, often messy disregard for rules and simple specifications for

assignments.
