Lubricate the camshaft bearings with clean engine oil before you install the

Lubricate the camshaft lobes with a 50/50 mixture of 8T-2998 Lubricant and

clean engine oil.
Maximum exhaust lobe lift at zero degrees is

8.51521 mm (0.33524 inch).
Maximum injector lobe lift at zero degrees is

10.33845 mm (0.40702 inch).
Maximum inlet lobe lift at zero degrees is

Use the following procedure to find the actual lobe lift (B) :

1. Measure the camshaft lobe height (C).

3. Subtract the base circle measurement in Step 2 from the camshaft lobe

height in Step 1. The difference is the actual lobe lift (B).
The maximum permissible difference between the actual lobe lift in Step 3
